I hope there is no mild on the lens, because that is irreparable. When you look in the lens barrel, and you see an element with a tray haze over its surface, there is a chance it has mould on the element. Making the lens unusable.

The backup camera seems a bit hazy even after cleaning the lens anyone else find this

Some webcams have a 'focus ring' to adjust the focus. I do not know if auto backup cams have such a thing built right onto the camera lens. Adjust that focus until the pic is clear.

Probably you have a slow lens. It the maximum aperture of the lens is something like 3.5-5.6 etc. you will get less light. try putting on a normal lens (50 F1.8 etc) and it should brighten up. Just the way it works.

The lens is not sold separately, you must replace the whole assembly. This assumes you are talking about the headlight lens.

My camera canon powershot A430 is giving hazy pictures

This may sound silly, but have you checked the front lens element on the camera, a thick layer of fingerprints will give you hazy photos and what can look like over exposure in bright conditions.

I bought this lifecam vx500 yesterday, and while useing it.. all the images are blurr and hazy.. can't see the real picture.. plz help

I know this sound a bit silly but......

Check to see if the lens has a protective cover over it like a tranparent plastic sheet or small disc failing that check the focus of the webcam, this is usually no more than a wheel at the lens mount itself, give it a turn as you look at the image on your screen, if it is neither of the above, consult the manafacturers trouble shooting guid in the user manual that came with it, else contact them on their website?

Hope this helps

Scratched front lens element

Well, you cannot buy the front element by itself. The whole front optic set comes as a unit. You can call Canon USA, ask for parts,

The part number you are inquiring on is: CY1-2800

Have you taking any pictures with the lens? usually it takes quite a bit of damage to effect images. The rear optics are the more sensitive glass on all lenses

Canon powershot a520

You probably changed a setting or were taking photos in low light. If you take a photo in the middle of the day, in full-automatic mode, is it still hazy? Maybe you got something on your lens?
