Adjust the REED switch, see the diagram attached.2) test the adapter and see if there voltage and compare with the label attached.3) replace the old battery by new ones, clean the spring contacts from dirty, oxide, corrosion.God bless you

This is caused by a loose crank arm. The key assembly is loose. (#32 on your parts list) The covers will need to be removed to access this. Be sure the crank arms are realigned against the frame when completing the repair. Good luck, Tim

If you purchase from a store I would take it back and exchange it, or if you purchased it on line then the manufaturer and have send somebody out to take care of this situation you have a warraty on the unit

Pull the batteries out let it reset itself while its doing that check all cable to make the connection are seated firmly then reinstall the batteries, unless the function pad is sending a phantom signal engaging the display to be on continuously,or by pure chance the upper electronics went hay wire

clean the contacts batteries for OXIDE, very well, see if some wires is loose.
Try to RUN the software calibration for diagnose and troubleshooting.

1) PLEASE replace batteries by new ones.
2) clean the batteries contacts with special spray contacts cleaner
3) retight the spring contacts batteries with a pliers for better contacts very important!
4) adjust the reed switch see the diagram attached.
