Question about Amsco Renaissance Series Autoclave, Model: R3013-2 Vacamatic

1 Answer

Autoclave is failing "to long in evacuation", nothing in the manual in troubleshooting section.

The only problems/readouts that it gives, are not in the troubleshooting section

It sounds like bad seals, but perhaps the pump needs to be replaced if it has bad tolerances inside.

thanks for the responses. I went through all of the water side solenoids and was able to correct the problem. I found the first solenoid in the water side was leaking across the diaphram and had bad o'ring between the body. the following leak test came out 0.0.

Autoclave saying ES what does it mean

There are a variety of brands/models of autoclaves and your model is not adequately identified. There are ES models of an autoclave of a particular brand but I have no knowledge of their designation system. A search of an autoclave manual did not reveal an "es" error code. Why not contact technical support or the sales forces of the manufacturer with the query?

My machine is acting up its not starting. when i push to start is shuts down

I read through the user manual on this machine and it was of no help with this problem. What I can say is that some electronic devices will shut off immediately when turned on if there is a severe electrical problem in the device. Do the basics. Unplug everything, clean and reconnect all items. Check all parts that are opened and closed manually. Visually inspect these areas for damage or wear. Make sure water/steam is not getting into the electronic areas of the machine.

Why is my autoclave not heating its water?

If you are not using purified or distilled water, most likely the heating element or sensor has become encrusted with lime or calcium and gives a false reading which will not allow the heating element to engage. (safety stuff you know) All you could try is a fill with a limeaway solution of 20%, cycle, drain and refill with distilled water, or disassemble and clean the components.

Error 3

Error 3 is a Door lock error and has nothing to do with the water sensor. Tighten the door down snuggly, but don't over-tighten. If it still doesn't work it may need a door rebuild or switch replacement. Call for service if it doesn't restart.

Lack of water

Is it filled with water? If yes, then the liquid level sensor has failed in the unit. This will happen normally, but does happen frequently if you have growth in the water reservoir. Call for service. Follow instruction in the manual about flushing the reservoir.

This is a power failure alarm, meaning the prior cycle failed due to a power failure/ outage.

Verify your power supply is correct for this unit's needs.

Check the fuses.

Beyond that, it may be a wiring/power supply issue. Call for service.

Will not operate using battery

Even rechargeable batteries eventually die. Have you tried leaving it plugged into power for a long time, like at least overnight? As for a manual, you didn't list a make or model. Try a search for the make and model and include user manual in the search box.

You either have a bad toner cartridge or a failed scanner assembly. Here's a free copy of the HP 2300 Service Manual to help you isolate it down. Check the troubleshooting section and it will give you a number of checks. The manual may mention a High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS) section on the DC Controller board but that would be highly unlikely. We have been servicing these since they were introduced and have never installed a DC Controller.

Hope that helps you. :)
