Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 Digital Camera
This problem still has no solution. The battery is fully charged and the built-in flash is popped-up but when I take pictures, the flash doesn't work.
I am having a similar problem with my camera. I have tried it on all the settings and sometimes the flash works and other times it flases but seems like the timing is off... very annoying. No solutions though.. I would love one...

If you have a lightning symbol followed by “A” in the upper left corner of display, try to change it to forced flash (only lightning symbol) or reduce iso settings because probably the camera “thinks” there’s sufficient light for the photo.

The flash icon appears in the upper left corner of display or it appears as circled flash icon? If flash is open and appears a circled icon, then there’s a malfunction contact that don’t communicate to the camera that the flash is open. Your camera needs service! Be sure the upper part of the flash is unfolded, pointing directly in front of the camera (not downward), because the sensor is just in this second folder. If the icon is not circled, press the right arrow until only the lightning symbol appears (forced flash). Try a shot! If the flash doesn’t pops, then your camera needs servicing (burned or broken lamp or other malfunctions).
