SOURCE: Replaced thermostat on FA4ANF030 with Honeywell model rth3100c does not work

If you have a heat pump do not put your blue wire on b. Put it on x or c. If you don't have an inline fuse you may have blown your transformer.

SOURCE: Intertherm to Honeywell thermostat

Typically if you have a yellow wire in the "y" terminal blue is used as common or "c". As far as your jumper from rc to rh, that will depend upon what type of heat you have. If all of your heat and cooling come from your packaged unit outside, yes you will need the jumper. If this does not work maybe you have a bad breaker or transfomer.

Motor1258,
Thanks for the response, to be more specific, the nine pin connector was damaged, but I was able to connect the wires back to main unit panel. I am ready to hook to the hunter thermostat and do not know which wires to connect to. This is my problem and I do not want to short something out. Hope this helps, I want to get it installed again. Thanks again for caring....Jerry

You need to connect to the Y terminal and the C terminal for A/C unit. The best was is to connect thermostat to furnace and then connect the two wires to A/C off furnace circuit board at Y and C terminal.

I need the wiring diagram for this thermostat, there are four wires that are hooked up red, white, blue for yellow and green. They connect to a honeywell relay that has five connection, y,g,w,c,and r, do i...

On the fan relay hook up the red to r terminal the white to the w terminal and the green to the g terminal , now the blue needs to hook up to one of the two wires going to the outside condenser unit and the other going there goes on the c terminal . The blue does not have to go on the honeywell rrelay just wire nut it to the wire.

I have a Ruud Model # UACC-036JAS. Any idea on

Hi, yes the number you are showing me 036 indicates its a 3 ton unit. For every ton of cooling, you will have 12,000 btu's of cooling. 36 divided by 12=3 ton unit. Its showing me also its a Ruud Handler 2.0 ton which would be a Model# UACC-024JAS? If your mobel number is the one you gave me, UACC-036JAS, this is a 3 ton unit, absolutely no questions. I hope I have been of help to you. I am a licensed air conditioning / Refrigeration /Heating Contractor. Let me know if I have been of help.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
PS If this is a split system with the indoor air handler and condenser outdoors, both coils must be the same tonnage for it to work for you properly. You can't have a 2 ton indoor evaporator coil with a 3 ton condensing unit.

I currently have a Honeywell T874C1000 and want to replace it with a programmable thermostat. It controls a cooling only air handling unit with an outdoor condensing unit. No heat.

All you have to do is note which wires are hooked to which terminals and exchange them i.e.-R(Red) to R terminal, Y(Yellow) to Y terminal, etc. The only wires you should need are the Red, Yellow, Green, and sometimes Blue if the thermostat is powered by the unit and not batteries. Here are the most common wiring procedures:

Red(R)=Power
White(W)=Heat
Green(G)=Fan
Yellow(Y)=Cooling
Blue(B/C)=Common/Ground

Hope this helps!

The heater is not keeping the temperature

OK maybe it's not the thermostat. Without a make and model number of your heating system we will be shooting in the dark. If you have a furnace or air handler, check the air filter. Get in front of the heating system and give us details as how it is running, noises, temperature of components, etc... We can isolate the thermostat by jumping the wires going to R and W on the thermostat. If the system chugs away we know that the heating system is fine (with the exception of the air filter) and is not the problem. If it still has a problem getting to temp, then it is a heating system issue. Get back to us with info. Thanks.

Not enough screws on my control board

I sounds like the thermostat you have is heating only. You need to buy and install a heating/cooling thermostat. The new thermostat will have a sheet with wiring diagrams to choose from.
