Look up inside the right or left side of the dash where the glove box closes. There should be a screw that holds stop your talking about. Re attatch it. Unscrew the screw. If broke then use a small nylon strap n secure it to that screw n to the place on the inside of the glove box door.

How do you repair or replace the door tension spring on a KUDP01FLBT2 built-in Kitchenaid dishwasher? Thanks

Hi,

If your door falls down or is noisy I have put together some instructions here on how to repair. You will need a kit part number 8194001, it is relatively inexpensive, let me know if you have questions.

The door to the dishwasher is very hard to close. The door also falls down to the floor which makes the carriage/basket fall down as well.

sounds like one or both of your door links are broken check your hinges. you should ahave a large spring and a piece of rope that attaches to the door. let me know if this helps you

Reg door will not close

There is a flap inside the printer that guides the paper as it travels thru the printer. The flap has to be in a completely up position before the door can be closed. Problem is if you put the flap in the up position and then try to close the door the flap falls back down and blocks the door. You need to push the flap up and close the door quickly before it has time to fall back down.

Kitchaide Dishwash Door

There is normally 2 heavy springs & cables that control the "falling" of the door located in the bottom of the machine or it the door itself. Sounds like one (or both) have snapped.
