Bissell powerforce with bag, not picking up, but alot of suction in hose. Brushes are rotating, just not picking up.

Flip it over and unscrew the screws that hold the bottom skid to the chassis. Pull that off and check the intake to the hose. You will likely find it stopped up there.

Why is my Dirt Devil Vacuum Hose lacking suction?

I have a Dyson and was having a similar problem some time back. I found out these bagless systems still have a filter that picks up the fine dust to keep it contained. Find out where yours is located and beat the dust out of it really good or just replace it.
Hope this helps.

Hoover makes a loud noise and does not pick up

Issar 702:

Take the machine to a room that has no carpeting, (this is 'gonna get messy :-) First, make sure that the machine is unplugged from the wall, then remove the wand with the hose and verify that the hose, wand and vacuum head are not clogged up... check carefully, some clogs or items stuck in the hose and wand assembly can be hard to find! Then check the hose from end to end making sure that the hose is clear of debris. Then open the canister and check to see that the gasket around the top of the canister is not damaged, then check the belt coming off of the motor driveshaft is not binding or damaged. You should be able to rotate the belt by hand with the machine off and unplugged.

I received my dirt devil canister vacuum - vision pet for Christmas and have only used it several times. I am having trouble with it not suctioning very well. I have the max suctioning turned all the way...

Change out the bag. Check the internal air passages for blockage. Check air flow without the bag and pick--up hose in place--should be quite forceful. Attach the bag and try again. If ok, attach the hose and try again. At some point, you should find a large blockage of debris. Hope that helps!

The vacuum used to pick up great and now it doesnt want to what could be the problem?

The hose that leads from the brush area to the bagless area is clogged. You will probably have to remove or partrially remove the hose to clean it out. You might get away with sucking on the hose (reverse direction) with another vacuum. If you don't find a clog in the hose, you have a SERIOUSLY clogged filter system. Of course there could be other reasons too, but try this suggestion first.

I have this same model and removal of the hose was pretty simple, by removing abour a half dozen screws. I had limited luck with the vacuum process, I pushed the clog out with a broom handle. I had 100% recovery of efficiency.

By the way, clogs are the #1 reason I find dozens of vacuum cleaners (all manufacturers) on the side of the road. I pick them up, clean them (about 10 minutes) and sell or give them away.

Either it's clogged, has a broken belt, or the bag needs to be replaced.

Dyson not owrking in upright position

I've had this problem. On the lower left side of the vacuum you need to make sure that is completely attached. Pull the part with the arrow button up and push the compartment down. This will allow suction to continue
