Good day. please i have a Mitsubishi WD-60C9. but whenever I turned it on. it will on to blue screen and turns off again. please what will be the cause.

Hi Olamiposi

Modern Digital TV's are now Computers with a CPU & Memory etc. Prone to various component problems.
But.... the biggest & most likely problem is that the DC voltages are not stable

Caused by Leaky or Bulging Electrolytic Capacitors

Do you have access to a Soldering Iron?
Do you Have Access to an Electronic Components shop?

If you are not a Tech Type....
Take it to a service tech & ask to check Electrolytic Caps.
Most Tec's these days will Just Do A Board Swap. Costing $$$

If you are a tech type and feel like exploring & fixing the problem.
Disconnect The Power
No Internal 25KV voltages to worry about.
There is a shock hazard on AC side of Switchmode Board.
Electro Caps on AC side can hold 110 / 240v

Check Switchmode internal power supply on DC Side for bad Electrolytic Type Capacitors.
The insulated Tin Cans on the PCB

Bulging or leaky Electrolytic Caps cause many failures in modern digital TV's
Good Luck

820 microfarad 200 volt capacitors

Most likely it's normal. When caps go bad, they usually bulge and leak. Larger caps are often glued in place to reduce strain on circuit board and connections.

The power button blinks 3x''s but the TV does not come on at all

This is most likely caused by leaky capacitors in the television. The power supply that feeds the startup voltage to the CCFL tubes usually contain shoddy caps, which in a few years usually bulge and leak. 8 times out of 10 this is the case, look for any bulging caps, and replace them with the same or a higher voltage rating.

Large yellow spot in center of tv screen

Sorry, but there is no cheap method of repair for this unless it is in warranty.

This TV will require replacement of the LCD Prism unit.

This Prism blocks and allows colors so that the 3 LCD images may be mixed to produce the final image you see on the screen. When this becomes damaged or defective, it leaks colors (light). This Color Leakage apears as spots on the screens.

Where you see the spots is where the specific spot on the prism that is leaking light, the specific color that is leaking also.

This parts cost alone is normally $500 to $1000 dollars but is usually replaced under warranty.

Good luck.....

Tv go thru different functions on its own after being on for a few minutes.

after it warms up, and starts your problem. turn tv off. unplugg it. then feel the tops off all the caps for heat. also check the hv wires for leak and fluid leakage on boards. could be a possible broken trace or cracks in solder. possible in signal board.

RCA P46770CK

Check Cr4503 in the vertical circuit for short or leaking. The convergence circuit is most likely fine. Also check for any leaky electrolytic caps in the 500 block. (example) CR4503 will be printed on the PCB as CR503. The vertical circuit is located in the center of the chassis behind the big aluminum heat sink.
