Question about Samsung HCM4215W 42" Rear Projection Television
HCM4215W When turned on the red light next to "Timer" flashes ~10 times as normal. However, the screen remains black. Audio still works. I have tried disconnecting the convergence board as suggested by many threads on this site. This does not solve the problem. When the TV is powered on, the bulbs turn a dim orange in color, but no picture or light is projected to the screen. I have checked the fuse next to where the power cord plugs in. This fuse is ok. I have looked for other fuses to check but have not found any others. I have tried fiddling around by disconnecting each bulb board to see if one of these boards were overbearing the power supply but no luck. Same symptoms every time. At this point I'm thinking it's a power supply issue? Is there anything else I can do to pinpoint the problem?
PVAT! Give a real close look at the signal pcb for evidence of coolant leak. That will pull down power circuits, giving all kinds of strange symptoms.
