Here is a link for a free manual, check to see if the feed dog lever is up in the sewing position, if the feed dog lever is down then try to raise it up. if it will not raise then the machine needs to be check to see what's wrong with the feed dog.

SOURCE: Feed doesn't feed Singer 560

there should be a control to raise or lower the feed dogs, lower to stipple and high to sew normal. it sounds like you may have lowered them

SOURCE: Machine will not feed material

Use a fresh needle and install with flat side facing rear of machine. Is your clutch engaged, after you wound the bobbin? Do you have an owners manual? If not, go online to brother-usa.com and download one for free. It is good to have a copy on hand anyway. Good luck

SOURCE: how do you get the feed to stay level instead of

What on earth are you trying to do? Feed dogs move the fabric and are doing what they are supposed to do. Are you trying to darn? Embroider? Normally there is a plastic plate that you put over the feed dogs to do that or there is a lever to lower them. I could not find a manual for your machine so I can't tell if you have either of those.

SOURCE: Hello. I own a Singer

i had this problem about a week ago. the jam even messed up my hook timing. i re-timed my machine, cleaned out everything and it still wouldnt work for me. i changed out the needle, tried different fabrics and threads but nothing seemed to work. i finally changed the stitch to a zigzag stitch, and it seemed to work ok. i went through all the different stitches sewing a line about 3 inches long. my sewing machine now works fine. i think when i switched stitches in the past it messed up the needle alignment. (im not an expert or anything, in fact i recently taught myself to sew. i hope this helps you out)

Does singer model 758 have a feed dog?

Yes, the vast majority of sewing machines have feed dogs. That is how the fabric is pulled through the machine to produce the line of stitching.

Model 1 1425n. Why can't I get the material to feed through?

try changing the needle, make sure the top thread has not come off the take up lever, also check to see if the feed dogs are in the up position, so the machine can sew.

How do I stop my needle from breaking and how to I see to it that the machine is self feeding the material forward instead of me having to pull it towards me to get the stitches into the material?

The needle may be bent, but surely the material should feed away from you not towards? Is the bobbin in correctly? If you have inadvertently left the feed dogs down the material will not be gripped and stay in the same place instead of moving. Check.

My sewing machine thread is sticking around the drop feed control

There are several possibilities, but the most likely is you have a burr on the needle plate that is catching the thread. Run your finger over the plate, and if you feel a rough spot, use an Emory board to smooth it. You can also easily replace it. Sewing Parts online has a replacement plate for $12.99, by the way, and I'm going to provide the direct link below.

Another possibility is the bobbin is not correctly wound, the bobbin case is not correctly inserted, the surface of the bobbin case has a rough spot (solve an Emory board the same way), the needle is not all the way up in the clamp, you did not thread with the presser foot UP, or your bobbin is warped. To determine that, roll it down a flat surface. If it wobbles, it's warped. Needle Plate Singer 416472401

Singer 758 breaking needle

Machine breaks needles
1.make sure you are using the right needle for your type of sewing machine.
. There are cases where the machine will only use ones specified in the owners manual.
2.the presser foot may not be installed properly
3.use the correct needle for the type of fabric you are working with. To fine of needle on heavy fabric or to course a needle on silk or jersey can damage fabric.
4.let the feed dogs guide the fabric & the feed dogs will work with the presser foot .
5.the needle is not all the way in -push all the way up against the stop
6. Check top thread tension
7. machine could be out of time & need to be serviced

I have a Singer Stylist 513 & I cannot get the feed dogs raised.

The model 513 Singer has two gears which operate the feeding mechanism. If one of these gears is broken, the machine will run except the feed dogs will not move. This is a very common problem with this model.

Is the feed dog pushed to the up position? How about selecting a stitch length? I have a feeling watching the dvd and instruction manual will do wonders for you, If you lost your manual, go online to www.singerco.com and download one for free,
