NTSC -> PAL converter: would it help my prob with my PS3?

You'll need to buy the converter. Ebay usually has them for the best price around. If you wanna keep the hdmi they're usually around $200 for the converter. You could save yourself a bit of trouble depending on your situation by just selling your pal ps3 and getting an ntsc version instead.

Let me know if you have more questions.

    Best of Luck!
