Question about Brother DCP-7020 All-In-One Laser Printer
We have a Brother DCP-9020CDW and it says that its toner life ended. Thats **** because it just counts the printed pages, not looking at the actual remaining toner. How can I reset this counter?
You can reset the brother dcp 9020cdw toner cartridges using the printer menu. Its simple. see video on the link

SOURCE: toner low, tone life end
There is a gear on the left hand side of the toner to reset the toner count this can cheated be rewinding it. Yes the design is to stop the refillers or at least slow them down a bit. If this fails purchase a new genuine toner but I have seen problems with the switch that resets the toner (Either the spring on the switch has popped off or the main board has failed).

If your cartridge has a lever on the left side near the rear, it needs to be reset, and there's a lever inside on the left that can stick and cause that error. You need to wiggle and pull that lever until it moves freely again.
