Latitude D830 starts then shuts down quickly.

1. Make sure you are plugged into A/C.. Your battery could be running low.
2. Make sure there is nothing blocking the heat vents. This symptom is typical for overheating processors.

Stays on for 5 seconds then shuts off latitude E4300

Start by cleaning the fan and vents, if you haven't already. Reseat the memory mods. Have you done any updates or upgrades? Can you do a system restore/recovery? Will it boot to safe mode?

Windows keeps shutting down unexpectedly

Your computer is overheating, it is shutting itself down to prevent damage to the internal components.

Your computer should be serviced by a computer technician. He/she will clean the components and chassis of dust. This will increase airflow over the components, meaning your system will be stable and will not shut down unexpectedly.

Take care!

My HP DC 5800 PC, Shut down unexpectedly. It is not happen regulerly. Some times it happen twice a day and some times it happen once a month. My operating system is Vista business.

Most unexpected shut downs like this are caused by over heating. Is the computer in a closed in space? If so try moving it to where it has plenty of room to breath. If this does not help I would suggest trying to replace the current fans to be sure that they are in working order.

Battery on dell latitude battery shuts down even though full charged

Does it work without the battery - just the adapter? Does it shut-down? If it does, then it's not the battery.
