For some strange reason the moment you open it up and clean a pc thats been working fine for a while, it gives problems! I know its happened to me as well :)
The beep scenario you mentioned is usually when the graphic card fails, but it might be that you have not fixed it properly back into its slot (assuming its not an onboard graphic card). If its not an onboard what you can do is take the graphic card blow any dust that might have got into that slot, and also take some perfume or similar item (that evaporates quickly in air) and clean the gold contacts, keep it for a while to evaporate any liquid and then reinsert the card and try.
If the graphic card is onboard the problem can be very different!

hi, did u check the ram, try cleaning the contacts, or replacing it,
and as u say the fan is working that means the smps is switching on, so it could be ur motherboard, remove any addon cards and then check..enjoy

1 long and 1 short beep: DRAM error
1 long and 2 short beeps: Video card error

1 long and 9 short beeps: ROM error
Long continuous beeps: DRAM not installed correctly, bad memory, or incompatable
Short continuous beeps: Bad power supply

enter bios setup and check the temperature of your mobo and cpu if it's above normal and also check the cpu fan's speed if theres no problem with these three then try to remove all the expansion cards you have then reset the memory modules if the beeping continues try a different PSU and memory modules.
