Microwave oven won't heat

Depending on the model, it may just be a bad door switch.

Here's the help file on door switches:

Or it may be a bad relay or connection on the the controller.

Cd jammed won,t eject

Hi.

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button on the on dash player while turning on the stereo at the same time. If that does not work disconnect battery terminal for one minute to reset the electrics and try again pressing eject repeatedly on startup. Make sure that you have the stereo anti theft code if needed before disconnecting the battery.

If that does not work, then the unit must be disassembled. The car stereo must be removed from the dash. The unit must be disassembled removing screws at back and bottom and undoing metal casing clips. That will reveal the CD drive allowing to remove the disk.

Regards.

The screws won't stay in the hinges on my Maytag dryer door, model #PYG2300AWW. It's like the holes in the cabinet are too big for the screws. Is there something else missing that they should be...

Hi ddyreson...
You are missing a sheet metal clip.
It will clip on the sheet metal with the large hole in it, to convert it from a large hole to a hole that you need to fit the screw...
Look around where you disassembled the dryer, it is somewhere in the area or in the dryer...
You can get replacement metal clips at HomeDepot,Loews,Ace Hardware, etc.

Hi, I've disassembled my laptop and I have 2 screws remaining and I can't figure out where they go. I tried turning the laptop on and it won't turn on. Will the missing screws affect this?

The missing screws should have no affect on whether or not it turns on. Try to ensure that all the ribbon cables are properly secured in the correct locations.

I have a Craftsman Table Saw Model # 137.218300. The mechanism that raises and lowers the blade no longer works. I can see the threaded rod that should make it go but cannot see how to fix it.

Hi cgkj35a,

Welcome to fixya!

When you turn the handle, can you see the rod move? If the rod doesn't move, then the handle is probably stripped out. This happens pretty often. Disassemble the handle and replace it.

If the rod moves when you turn the handle, then check the gears at the end of the rod. It could be as simple as too much sawdust in the gears so they won't mesh right or something is stripped.

Here is the webpage for a diagram and parts for your model: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/Saw-Parts/Model-137218300/0247/0744600/50024793/00002

Copy and paste this entire address into your browser and the page will open up for you. Click on enlarge for a much better picture.

Good luck to you.
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Kitchenaid stand mixer ksm90wswh how to install motor brushes/spring. Took out by mistake. Is there a only one way to put them back in?

Hi GOTWEIMS. Yes there is only one way to reinstall your brushes and that is so they both seat correctly on the armature's commutator or you won’t get any ‘juice’ to the motor. See the illustration below:
815b35c.jpg

If you've turned a brush 90 degrees too much, it won’t seat properly and you’ll get no power to the motor.
It would also be helpful to have the Parts List manual on hand. If you're lacking one, you can download a PDF version from the KA website at: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home.
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals & Guides> then enter the visitor type “Consumer” and the 6 character model number, in your case use KSM90P, in the Model Number box. Select one the files listed for your model that appears under Parts List (16): KSM90PSWH0.pdf (354.08 KB) and save that file to your PC (check to see it this matches your mixer model).
Turn to pages 6 & 7, titled “Motor And Control Parts”, which provides an exploded view for the disassembly and reassembly of your mixer’s electrical components, along with all the parts. Locate Illus No 32, Brush holder that includes #18, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 31 which is the brush holder and brush & Spring assembly respectively. This illustration along with my initial reply regarding the orientation of the brushes should allow you to reinstall your brushes with confidence. Good luck, I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA

Heat won;t turn on

It could be several other things thermal fuse, thermal cut out, hi limit thermostat, dryer coils, heat sensor,or igniter. All of these parts are inexpensive and easy to test and replace. There is a video at t http://appliancehelponline.com/gdryertroublevideo.html his will walk you thru the troubleshooting of these components. It may be a different model but the troubleshooting will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available. If you need help disassembling your machine there are videos of this also for most styles.
