try using a different browser such as firefox and if that works try connecting to internet by going to safe mode, if that works try reparing ie if you have the windows cd.

It seems the acrobat application is creating these problems. Please use the system configuration utility to remove this application from startup.
Click on Start >Run (If you have Windows 7 then type msconfig in search)and then type msconfig. In the msconfig window, under the startup tab, look for any entry which says Adobe and uncheck it. Click on Apply and OK and restart the system. This should do the trick.

May be u need to reinstall a fresh copy of windows.or if u already done so, then it might be a hardware incompatibility
