Question about Refrigerators
The gasket on the flap of the ice dispenser unit on the door has warped and allows air/humidity into the ice maker dispenser chamber and causes ice to bind together into a block that cannot fit through dispenser and has broken the plastic screw that pushes the ice out through the door dispenser. Need to remove door dispensing unit to replace gasket/flap. Don't know how to take apart.

first, let us explore the problem with dispenser flap. open the freezer and look into the ice discharge chute. there may be an accumilation of ice impeding the proper operation of the flap. next, you have indicated the light socket is broken. is it just the bulb or the socket itself? if you wish to remove the ice/water panel, first unplug the unit,. then you may be able to unsnap the drip tray where one would sit their water glass. if you are successful in doing this then the panel can be removed with a star driver but it depends upon the fasteners used. Always keep in mind to disconnect power before working on unit. I hope this was helpful.

SOURCE: Have a gs201eta ww refrigerator
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent
between the freezer and fridge. the fan in the freezer blows air through
it. there is a flap you adjust with the
fridge temp. control.
Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp. try to chec in the user guide.
