How much does it cost to put an oil dipstick tube that has come out back into the block?

These tubes normally don't come out easily. They are usually held in place with a small bracket welded to the tube and held in place with a bolt. Some are press fit to some degree. You should be able to see a small O ring on the base of the dipstick tube if it is not broken off in the block. Is there any sign of the dipstick tube showing a rusted off bracket used to hold it? If the tube is not broken off in the block, the labor charge should not be more than half an hour

Automatic shift stuck nissan frontier

Shift cable broken or binding.
Have a trusted person try to shift it while you look at the linkage on the side of the transmission.
make sure engine is off, key on, parking brake set and all wheels are blocked in front and back (so you don't get run over)
Look for the small movement at the shifter linkage while the helper is trying to shift.
Many times, it's a small clip or mounting (cable to shift linkage) that has broken, gone missing, or twisted up.
Only do this on a flat surface with vehicle blocked in place.
Transmission shop is your next best bet if you do not feel comfortable. 12_24_2012_6_52_44_pm.jpg

I'm getting an error: 09,008.43:3152 ink jam. I followed the instructions: make sure the color blocks move freely, restart, etc. When I checked the color blocks, it appears that one is cracked or...

You can try using a small object like a small screw driver or pen to press in on the ink itself and it should stick to the screw driver to remove it. if you are unable to remove the ink this way, you can remove the ink loader for easier access. To remove the ink loader you will need an t20 torque screw driver. Here is a video that shows you how to remove the ink loader. Once you have the ink loader out you can turn it upside down and shake it out if it is loose, if the ink is stuck the the heating plate use a small screw driver through the space in the bottom to try to release it. Once everything is clear re-install it. If all else fails and error continues you should replace the ink loader (part#: 133K27771). Hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa!

I have a broken wing nut on my hadlebar. I'm

Depends on what's broken the wing nut is quite easy to get out, the plastic block it screws into is a bit more difficult. You need to take to top cap off (the black plastic cover where the extension handle comes out) It's held by either a small screw or a pop rivet. If a rivet you'll have to drill it out and replace with a self tapper screw or a new pop rivet. The wing nut assembly will now side up and you can access the screw at the back that keeps the wing nut from coming right out. If all you need to do is swap the wing nut you're done! But if you need to replace the plastic block you have to open up both sides, remove the handle release buttons and find a small Allen/hex key to release the plastic blocks clamped to the wire rods that links to the hubs. Then you can pull the extension handle out and access the screw blocks.

Our icemaker is no longer producing ice cubes. Water trickles down and instead of producing ice cubes, an ice block forms in the container. Any idea?

Hello,

If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, check these, in this order:
It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these:
If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire.
If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire.
In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.
The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary.
The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.

Good luck.

I have a photo smart plus it says its paper is jammed but there is no paper

Usually thr small paper detection sensor is jammed or broken. Remove the tray and internal components. Follow the paper path thuogh the center of the printer. It is a small plastic flag that blocks a sensor. Usually it is broken off or stuck.
Thanks

I have a Fender Squier Strat. The Whammy bar is

There are MANY tricks to remove a threaded piece like this:

1. With a Dremel tool and a cutoff carborumdum disc cut a shallow slot in the remaining piece and use a straight bladed screw driver to remove. This can only be done if the screw is above or flush with the surface.

2. Carefully drill a small hole in the piece fairly well centered. Use an "EasyOut" to remove the broken part.

3. Carefully drill several small shallow holes on the top of the broken part in a line so as to form a slot for a screwdriver.

4. Carefully drill a hole JUST the right size into the broken part and then drive an Allen wrench into the hole to turn the broken part. The hole has to be just the right size so the wrench can peal tiny pieces off to grab the broken part.. this is tricky to get the size just right.

5. Use a detist drill to cut a slot.

In all these use a penetrating oil or CRC226 to make it easier to turn.

Have replaced film and unit keeps saying "cover open" or check film. I replaced film correctly twenty times.

On some units it is possible to install the film upside down( backwards) but since you've done it multiple times it is more likely that the sensor that sees the film is broken or blocked. Look for a small block with two little lenses. They don't usually break per se but can get blocked by debris like scraps of paper.
Good luck
