May be a silly question but do I need to download all of these files on the link you posted? My pc tells me that it doesn't recognise the file and that I need to find a program to run it - it's taking ages to download one so don't want to download all of them if it isn't going to work. Thanks

Current using Vista Business but when I connect my Panasonic DV camera through the firewire, the PC does not recognize the camera.

My laptop is a Asus F3H with build in firewirs.

I have a Vista computer. I cannot even install the software that came with my Panasonic PV-GS300 camcorder to enable me to download and install the updates that are on line for the MotionDV Studio. What do I do? I cannot return the camcorder because it is a year old. These are the sites I have downloaded trying to fix the problem.

I also tried the site you guys suggested, this didn't even let me download a thing. Surely this cannot be such input error on my part?!!! But I hope so!! :0)

You can download MotionDV STUDIO Ver.6.0 at the following link. That version is compatible with Vista Home Premium and Basic.

I HAVE THE same problem. VISTA fuckin sucks. What you have to do is switch back to xp or whatever you were using. I'll have you know i have the same problem with my dvx-100 and pd-150. OR buy a few different types of FIREWIRE cables. sometimes the cables die or are just unclean. WORST case scenario is you broke your USB port in the computer or worse, on ur camera!

Hope this helps

Software to edit video from camcorder, to use on

The best software to view, download, edit on Vista I have found for working well with PC and many cameras is called Videowave, great package indeed, is dead easy to use too and can cost less that £29.99 is most good computer shops.

Can my panasonic pv gs35 work with Vista need software

To see videos,
you need to use firewire cable.
Its a 4 pin firewire which look like this:

After connecting,
Switch on the Cam.
Open Windows Movie Maker and import video from device.

I am unable to connect my Panasonic PV GS150 handycam and Vista business edition running laptop using a USB cable. Do I need driver S/W?

You will need to install the USB driver from your software(disc) to your vista.

and make sure the computer is recognizing your camera, check under control panel and device managers list if your product is listed under imaging devices, but chances are you might be having compatibility issues since it doesnt have an updater for Vista, hope this help. pls dont forget to rate. Thanks!!

Can I have a driver for panasonic pv gs35 driver vista?

You don't need a driver. Just connect the camera using the cable provided with it; turn the camera on and set it to play movies. The first time it will upload the necessary drivers. THen, use Windows movie maker (it's included in vista, my version at least) to import the movie (if you don't find it, click on the start button and type "movie" on the search box). It's much better than the crappy software provided by panasonic anyways.
