SOURCE: prints extra blank page for every one page of printed material

Ok, I too have HP Photosmart 7280 and it was spit'g out a blank page after each print page.
I went into the Control Panel/Printers - Right click on the HP Photosmart 7200 series icon and choose delete. Don't worry...just delete it.
Right above (Vista) click on Add a Printer - it's going to ask you if you want to add a local printer which is connected via USB connection or if you are set up wireless then choose Network
It will find your printer click on the printer hit next - then this is the most important step
It will ask you to find the manufacturer it shows Hewlett-Packard and underneath it shows HP - Do not click on HP - you'll have the same problem with that driver - choose Hewlett-Packard and find this driver HP Photosmart C7200 series Version 61.71.244.0 [3/23/07]
Hopefully they are all digitally signed with this information.
Click on that driver and click next - then click on replace the current driver and click next.
Print a test page and problem should be solved. Hope it helped!

How do I print from 84-104

If you use the print dialog in Windows 7 & MS Word 2010 or 2013, then you will see the settings area "Print custom range". You can select individual pages by typing single numbers separated by a comma eg: 1,3,5; or you can select a range of pages eg: 10-20, 84-104.

This ability to print selected pages and ranges of pages is a common feature available to most programs written for Windows operating systems.

I have changed my pc, reconnected my hp laserjet 4250, installed drivers but now although the option for print both sides is clicked it doesn't print it. Any ideas??? Cause i have to print a 500 pages book...

There isn't too much to go on in your description. Taking a guess that you are running Windows....and if you are printing from Word...and that your printer has a duplexer sticking out the back...click on the Print icon/select the printer/select properties/select finishing/check "print both sides". Select OK, select print.

How can I make my printer print only in black also print what I want on a page

Printing in black is no problem.

Depending on what Operating System you are using - you will need to select print in gray scale in the printing preferences menu.

Normally the printer will only print what is on the page as seen in the output of the application. You can select the pages you want to print by selecting either current page or page numbers, eg, 1-5 or 1, 2, 4 etc.

If you want to print only what you want on a page then you will need to cut and paste the bits into a new MS word document (provided the output of the application allows cut and paste). You can do this with MSWord pages and IE and PDF pages to an extent.

Designing a document in book form and printing in Word 2007

When you select Book fold for your page setup, Microsoft Word prints two pages on one side of the paper. When you fold the paper, it opens like a book. This option is intended for documents that have more than two pages.
1. Set up your document as a booklet.
When you create a booklet, it's best to start with a new, blank document so that you have better control over the placement of text, graphics, and other elements. You can add a book fold to an existing document, but you may have to reposition some elements once the book fold is in place.
A. Start a new, blank document.
B. On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Margins tab.
C. In the Multiple pages list, select Book fold.
If your document is not set to landscape orientation, Microsoft Word sets it to landscape.
D. In the Inside and Outside boxes, type or select the amount of space you want for the inside and outside margins (margin: The blank space outside the printing area on a page.).
If you need even more space along the fold to accommodate binding, type or select the amount of space you want in the Gutter box.
E. In the Sheets per booklet list, select the number of pages you want to include in a single booklet.
If the number of pages in the document exceeds the number of pages you select for a booklet, Word prints the document as multiple booklets.
F. Select any other options you want in the Page Setup dialog box.
G. Add text, graphics, headers or footers (header and footer: A header, which can consist of text or graphics, appears at the top of every page in a section. A footer appears at the bottom of every page. Headers and footers often contain page numbers, chapter titles, dates, and author names.), and other elements to your document as usual.
2. On the File menu, click Print.
3. Set options for printing on both sides of the paper.
If you're using a duplex printer (one that automatically prints on both sides of the paper)
Click Properties, and then set the options you want. If you have a choice of setting the page orientation and duplex options, select landscape orientation, and flip the document on the short edge or short side.
If you aren't using a duplex printer
In the Print dialog box, select the Manual duplex check box. Word will print all of the pages that appear on one side of the paper, and then prompt you to turn the stack over and feed the pages again.
4. Select the page range you want to print.
If you click Current page or Pages, Word prints the page you indicate, plus the three other pages that belong on the same sheet of paper.
If you click Selection, Word prints your selection using the default page layout instead of booklet layout.

Valid page names message driving me nuts

when printing specific pages the valid range is in this format 1,3,5,7,9,11 etc or if printing even numbers 2,4,6,8 etc or if printing specific pages 1,5,17,21,23,24,32 etc
what makes it a valid range is the comma between the numbers, no spacing and no full stop at the end
to further add confusion
when printing all of the pages just click all pages and it will print one sided all of the pages so no numbering is required
however if you want to save paper and reduce the size of the document
click pages 1,3,5,7,9,11,13 through to ,57
print those pages then turn them all around and upside down reinsert in the printer
now select pages 2,4,6,8 through to ,58 and print
that will give you printed data on each side of the paper in the correct page number order
to get to know how to reinsert the paper test with a print page 1 then reinsert and print page 2 to make sure that you have turned the paper the right way round

Reverse printing

Open your printers/faxes folder, right click the printer you want to change, select properties. In that window, click on printing preferences. Click on the next to last icon (should be an A with a red arrow going to an upside down A). On that screen is an option to reverse print. Click on it.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
