SOURCE: Whirlpool washer: Very slow fill cycle on the

I had a similar problem - unscrew the water hose feed lines from the back of the machine and clear out any sedimentation build up from the filters. You can use a turkey baster to siphon off. If filters are clear you may have to replace watervalve. Look at vitual repairman, com as to how to remove the back. Replacement cost about $26.

SOURCE: won't fillCalypso whirlpool washer model#GVW9959KQ1 LD on display

LD is long drain error, the machine does not fill because it is in fault mode, but error is on drain system.

If there is a drain problem, the parts that must be checked are drain hose, pressure switch, drain pump assembly, timer control.

Check if the drain hose at the back is kinked or blocked.

Test the pressure switch, blow into the small hose, and use a multimeter to check if switch has continuity.

Remove access panel and get to the drain pump hose to check for ablockage. You will need to disconnect the hose and collect the water.

Keep a container ready to collect water when you undo pump hose.

Ifall the rest is OK, test and eventually replace timer board.Problemwith water pump are far more commonly causing this problemsthenfaulty timer board.

Parts and diagrams available here.

I am not a appliance repair technician, but before one starts taking apart motors, and drives, it would be imparitive to simply check the lid switch I have repaired several washing machines by simply checking this part.

Right where the two supply hoses screw on the back of the unit. Remove them and clean out the little screens that keep chunks of dirt out. Your water supply will be back to normal. Remove them only if you h-a-v-e to.

You are experiencing surge pressure due to the ATC. It is increasing then reducing the hot water slow to maintain a pre-determined temperature.
I am not aware of a disable or bypass procedure.

Whirlpool washer will not stop at end of cycle

Turn off extra rinse switch or pull wire going to it. If water is slow the water valve may have a restriction in it. Remove hoses and check for blockage in the hose screens.

Yes if its filling slow do to a blockage in a screened hose it will .If it never stops filling and doesnt over flow than its syphoning the water and you need to elevate thr drain hose higher than the water level and it will kick into wash. Please rate This !!

Whirlpool Top Load Washer

Your washers lid switch could be worn and need to be replaced. Depending upon the model you may see a small peg on the washer lid that mates with a hole on the machine. The switch is located beneath this hole. You can try poking the switch with a pen or similar object to see if it activates the wash cycle. it will only work if the switch indicates that the lid is closed.
