I have a washer dryer combo DWC LD1013 it stoped drying. My clothes are more wet when put in to dry. The clothes would be extremely hot but all wet. It works 1 cycle and then stops. Please help ????

In order to dry cloths, you need two things, heat source and air flow. Sounds like you have heat but no air flow. If you can, pull unit out and check vent for washer. Look around unit and make sure there is nothing blocking any vents. If you don't see any thing, try drying with vent not installed. I run into a lot of homes with clogged vents inside walls. By drying with no vent installed, it might tell you if you have dryer problem or a home issue. Good Luck

Keeps shutting off before clothes are dried

Most drying issue's are House vent related, Make sure its clean and strait as possible, and use metal venting only. Also make sure the vent hood on the outside of the house is clean and opening.

If your dryer is newer, make sure you not mixing loads, sometimes if you are drying cottons with heavier jeans, the cottons will dry faster and hit the moisture sensor and causing the dryer to turn off.

Takes to long to dry. installed new heating element, new tstats and i noticed that there was a gap on the back gasket drum. this will allow air that is not heated to enter the drum causing a longer dry...

Worn gaskets will cause some extended run time, but 75% of the dryer problems I repair are directly related to improper venting. Check that first. Pushing air thru the clothes is just as important as adding heat. Vent connector in rear should be rigid metal or heavy metal flex. As short as possible with no kinks. An easy way to check vent is to look at element when dryer is running. Should glow soft orange, not red hot or white . Try it with venting attached and then removed. If element glows less brightly with vent off, then vent is restricted.

Recently my Whirlpool 115 volt dryer takes a long time to dry a

either u have a kinked venting or bad air flow,,, go outside it should be blowing well , do u have a long vent or goes up... if ur vent gets clogged or blocked can cause the problem u are having... if possible undo venting and blow it outside through pipe with leak blower and replace ducting hose from dryer to wall if built up with lint.... if not a venting problem then its possible it could be an operating thermostat inside the unit... hope this helps let me know

Wont dry clothes, i can turn it on and wait a second then open door and heat appears to be onbut it seems to take hours and hours to dry a load

You may have a blocked vent.
Remove the connecting vent from the rear of the dryer.
Run a load of laundry.
Use timed dry at 50 minutes if possible.
If it dries correctly clean and repair the exhaust vent.

Oven is installed not outside vented. There is

It could be that the filter elements are clogged and need to be cleaned. Remove then from the underside of the micro hood and clean them using a good quality cleaner, such as Simple Green. Clean and allow to air dry before reinstalling.

While the filter elements are out, you can check for obstructions and run the fan to see if it is better without the filters installed.

If there is no noticeable increase in the air flow, it is possible that the exhaust vent baffle was not installed correctly, when the mircrowave was first installed.

Hope you found this Very Helpful and best regards!

JuST GOT DRYER TODAY...DOESN'T DRY CLOTHES

Dryer vent is restricted. Look behind dryer to make sure there is no flex duct squished, preventing air flow. Try to avoid flex duct, use as few turns in vent as possible, and keep vent as short as possible. Vent may need cleaning also. This dryer is very good, as it uses an independent variable speed blower motor to help compensate for long and or restricted vents.

Long drying time

Check directly behind dryer to see if there is squished flex vent. Also keep vent as short and straight as possible. Avoid flex venting, or use as little of it as possible.

Dryer Doesn't Dry Well: Take two full drying cycles.

if at all possible disconnect vent from behind machine and run a cycle with wet clothes( lint and moisture will be fllying around whih is why i said if possible) if it works then you know there a restriction in vent line leaving the home. Most problems relate to poor/ innadequate venting!!!!!!

Maytag dryer

Dear sloika,
I do not believe the problem lies within the dryer unit.
when the dryer unit fails to dry clothes in reasonable time 90% of the time it is the clogged air vent is the reason.
Dryer vent cleaning improves the safety and efficiency of your dryer installation. As dryer vents become filled with lint and other debris, drying time increases and can cause the dryer itself to overheat. This increases energy consumption since the dryer has to run longer to dry your clothes and can also cause fires in the dryer or the dryer duct. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports dryer related home fires are on the increase.
  • First check your vent hose between the back of dryer and the air outlet on the wall. Vaccum clean the dirty hose and even into the dryer unit using flexable vaccum attachment. also try to vaccum clean airoutlet that goes into your wall as far reach into and much as possible. The dryer's lint filter and its path needs to be cleaned as well.
  • If all air flow path are cleaned it will improve 200% of your drying time.
There is also professional dryer vent cleaners in your area who can help solve the problem. just check your yellowpages..

Good luck!
