Hisense TV no sound

turn up the volume,
turn off the mute switch.

if neither of those work, and there is a picture - try a different station.

if still no sound, you have a defective mute switch, or volume control, or another internal problem that a user cannot fix. take it to a repairman.

How to fix sound problems

Sometimes your volume is fine, it's the website or video that has the volume turned off. For instance, if you scroll your pointer over the video, it will show you their volume control and it may be muted. If this isn't the case, your speaker is gone and you need to take it to a PC repair shop.

I recently hook my reveiver to a multi room controller. Not getting sound. I did get some sound when I turned on the radio station had to turn it all the up max out to get a little volume.

Ponder this: How does your unidentified Multiroom Controller fit into the audio path? Take it out and start over.

NEVER USE MAXIMUM VOLUME FOR TROUBLESHOOTING or any real world purpose.

Turn the volume control to something medium.

The errant switch, control or condition may change and you will suddenly release the amp's full power and possibly destroying your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume it's probably not there.

Carefully examine the front panel for clues like a misplaced Source Selection, Mute, Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.

There is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through defect or idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.

Yamaha RX-V800 volume knob on receiver not working.

It sounds like the volume control pod has gone bad and needs replaced (The knob shaft connects to the pod main body and the inside of the volume pod is what controls the rate of volume,If the inside becomes worn ,broken or dirty the volume will become erratic) Replace volume pod ! ..You may try cleaning by taking off the volume knob and getting a can of pressure air and blowing the dust out!

Volume control on unit

Kent, Unfortunately, it sounds as if the encoder is broken. The encoder is a digital input which takes the place of a traditional volume control, and is what holds the volume knob in place and spins. Since it works fine with the remote, that means everything else is ok, but you will have to replace, or have a tech replace, the encoder itself.

Static while adjusting volume on Cambridge SoundWorks model twelve

If the volume is controlled with a mechanical volume control, usually a knob you turn or a slider you move, the problem is the volume control device (potentiameter) needs to be cleaned. That requires special cleaning chemicals most people do not have in their home. You would need to take it in to be serviced. This is a very inexpensive repair. Normally only costing about $50 to $75.

If it has electronic controlled volume like a button you press then it will still need to be serviced, but this is an unlikely case with static in volume when using the volume control.

If I can be more help let me know.

Front panel controls are unresponsive

Check volume up switch in front panel locked continuously. If it is not take away the remote control from the TV or remove the battery in the remote. Because maybe the remote continuously sending volume up commands. Rarely this type problem occurs through remote control also. Even problem is not sorted there is problem in EEPROM ic (memory ic). This can be sorted out by the technical persons only. I hope this useful to you.

Jensen vm9311 dvd indash volume is loud when i turn on car

Heres the best way to fix; Quote from manual "Programmable Turn-On Volume (Pg.12) This feature allows the user to select a turn-on colume setting regardless of the colume setting prior to turning the unit off. To program a specific volume level, push and hold the VOL/LOC/DV know (6) while the yellow volume bar is displayed on the screen. The unit will beep two times to confirm your turn-on volume setting." Ah i had the same problem. I turned to the manual and it worked for me :) Good Luck, Ern
