First turn the breaker for the dishwasher off for a minute or so then turn it back on. This will reset the controls. After that you should be able to select the cycle you want. Now for information on top drawer acting crazy. I had problems with the top drawer on a model 603I, I found that the control board under the drawer cover (at the upper right corner) had a broken latch. This allowed the control board assembly to drop down at the right side which caused the electronic eyes at the side of the drawer to become misaligned. This was giving false information to the control board indicating that the drawer wasn't closed properly. My problem was fixed by securing the control board back in place making sure the electronic eyes were lined up properly. (Note: The electronic eyes I am referring to include two clear plastic tubes about an inch and a half long to the right of the control board. These tubes must be properly lined up with the led and photocell on the side of the control board) It sounds complicated but if you take the drawer cover off you will notice the control board alignment immediately. Its an easy fix if this is your problem. One way to fix it is to take a piece of string and tie the board back in place. (That's what I fixed mine with and it has worked like new ever since.) NOTE: MAKE SURE THE POWER IS TURNED OFF BEFORE YOU BEGIN THIS REPAIR!

Water comes in on rinse mode but not on any wash mode

that's the water solenoid fill valve, in the wash cycle the fill water is selected to flow through the detergent drawer, (so the detergent is drawn in) if the solenoid is broken it only works for some parts of the cycle (like your issue).

I've had this issue on my own machine, and fixed it myself. it should be as easy as removing a couple of screws to remove the top plate on the machine, then the solenoid is right on top, at the rear of the machine (behind the detergent drawer) just undo some hose clamps and a couple of spade connected or clip connected wires (that drive the solenoid) and replace with a new module.

as i don't know the model I cannot specify the replacement part

I cant reset the dish washer is operating in 11 minutes which is rinse only??? I have turned it off, but it doesnt reset. can you please let me know how to reset it?

The reason for the dishwasher to default to Rinse only cycle is likely the heater is faulty. Does this happen with both the drawers?

Also make sure the top panel switches are clean. Use a damp clean cloth and wipe the top panel inside drawer.
By the way Fixya policy does not allow people to respond on direct email addresses. Sorry can't email you directly.

I need to know how to turn off the top two perascopes on a xtr 255

See the steps below from the XTR-255 owner's manual:

OPTION SELECT MODE

Option Select Mode (XTR-255/260/330)

Press the Menu button to enter Option Select

Mode. Each press of the Menu button changes

to the next selectable feature.

The Dark (D) button and the Quiet (Q) button

turns the feature ON/OFF or Blinking. The decimal

point illumination indicates whether a feature

is on or off. A button must be pressed within

20 seconds or Option Select Mode will automatically

be exited.

The fisrt option is VG-2, the second option is the Periscops (which you want to turn off) and hte third is the blue LEDs in the display.

Programming

Your dishwasher drawer appears to have got stuck in some sort of a diagnostic mode. The 3 lights are a code telling which diagnostic it is in.

I am assuming you have turned off and on at the mains power and it makes no difference.

I need to check a few things with you first, but I am assuming the controller is not looking good. The easiest way to confirm this is take the controller from the top one and try it below. But you need to feel comfortable doing it.

Let me know if you want to call a technician or do it yourself.

Rinse cycle on top drawer keeps turning on

You have a leak due to the Lid seal leak.
1- Unplug the power, then pull out top draw half way and
2-Touch the bottom top housing ( not bottom top draw) you will feel it wet. Try to dry it by stick in a towel.
3- Repeat the same for the bottom drawer.
After drying out, wait for at least 1 day so the sensor can be dried out then plug in the Power, you will be fine.
4- Contact me for the next step.

None use for 7 days

I have a fisher paykel dd603 dishwasher. If I select the normal wash setting on the top drawer, it posts the time in the lcd screen as 56 mins. The unit will wash as usual until it reaches the 28 min mark. At this point it will stay on 28 mins and continue to run, but it won't rinse or empty the drawer of water. Also it never counts down below the 28 min mark. It has flashed a F4 and F1 code. I've cleared them both, and checked to make sure that no water is standing on the bottom of the unit, and that the heating element is working. I should mention that the top drawer did overflow about two weeks ago, and that I did clean up the water. I don't know where to look from here. Any suggestions?
