My roper dryer works fine, it heats and the timer advances, it just wont shut off at the the end of a timed dry or auto dry. What do you think?

A timed drying cycle uses the timer alone to stop the drying cycle. Once it times out like an egg timer a set of contacts open up shutting off the dryer. Or a set of contacts closes to activate a relay which in turn shuts off the power.
Auto dry usually uses a moisture sensor which would do the same thing as the timer. Once it doesnt sense moisture in the load for a predetermined time it in turn triggers a relay which shuts the power off. Some auto dry cycles just use the timer alone and guess-timate the drying time by the selection.
If yours does not use a moisture sensor then most likely it is your timer/cycle switch. There may or may not be a relay involved.
Most dryers have a basic wiring diagram on the inside somewhere on one of the panels which will help.
Since yours is acting up on both cycles Im guessing you have a bad relay or connection to that relay somewhere IF it uses a moisture sensor.

S7000 Just shuts off...

It's shutting down due to overheating to protect the motor ( and to prevent a fire! ). Running it and feeling around the motor to see if it's gotten hot would be the first thing I'd check. If the vacuum is new and giving you these problems, I'd return it to the store you bought it from and see what they'll do about it..there may have been a recall you aren't aware of.

2007 Panasonic 50in Plasma shuts off after being on 30 min sleep timer off, is the problem the cooling fans out/ over heating

Yes, cooling fan could be a problem. Just see whether it goes off during before shut off. If yes, the TV might need service. To know whether the fan goes off first or the TV, stick one side of any thin vibrating membrane such as a silver paper (like the one you see in cigarette packets) on the fan outlet, without blocking it, so that you can see whether it stops before the TV shuts down. Alternatively you can hand an inflated balloon which keeps flying off from the area of the fan and shall stop when the fan stops. I suggest this, in order to save your time looking at the rear all the time until the TV stops. Even then, one is likely to overlook whether the fan stops or TV stops first.

My unit sometimes stops playing after one hour and starts up again by itself after 30 mins.If there is a timer somewhere I am not aware of it.

No timer issue. I believe thats a thermal problem. After it has been running for a while it might be overheating and shuts itself off. After it cools the thermal switch re-engages turning the unit back on. A few simple things to check are the speaker connections making sure the speakers are connected properly. If you have only two speakers try disconnecting one then the other and seeing if the system still shuts off. If it stays on then you may have a bad speaker. Also make sure the unit has proper ventilation such as making sure its not installed in an enclosure that doesn't have vents. Also make sure there aren't any other components sitting on top or under the unit such as DVD or Blue-Ray players that tend to also run a little warm. Audio amplifiers in general prefer to have at least an inch of clearance above and below to allow air flow. Making sure the unit is clean of dust can be done with a simple shop vac.
If it's none of those things then it may have a thermal issue or electrical issue inside the unit in which case I would recommend having it serviced by a professional unless you yourself are familiar with 110 volts AC safety practices.

I just bought a compaq computer and I started using it and it shuts down like every half an hour while is in use is there a timer-alarm or something I missed

It might be overheat of processor or memory issue. You can make sure the ventilation and maybe replace the memory. Checking virus may help also.

JVC AV-32F702 Color TV shuts off after I power it on.

Any malfunction associated with a flashing light usually indicates a circuit problem or defective component. Unfortunately, the days of taking off the back cover of your TV and replacing a defective tube or fuse are long gone. Proper servicing will require troubleshooting procedures that can only be performed by a qualified electronic repair facility or professional television repair person. Ask for an estimate and a realistic appraisal of whether the set can be adequately fixed. Depending on the age and condition of your TV it may not be cost effective to repair.
