Keyboard not responding

My son installed a wireless keyboard and mouse and it worked. The old normal mouse and keyboard had also worked. Now the keyboard (wireless and normal) both will not work. So, the computer boots to a login screen but we can not get pass it because the keyboard will not respond. We can not boot to safe mode as the keyboard will not respond. The system was rebooted each time a different keyboard was hooked up (wireless and normal). The computer was all fine, and now the keyboard is not responding. What kind of solution can we look to do to get it back to full function again?

We are trying to install 2.4 GHz Wireless keyboard with our HP tower. Right now we have batteries in the mouse and keyboard but all we have on our monitor is a the hpinvent blue screen. It will not...

Thank you for using FixYa
If it is not responding, I would remove it and restart your computer. Most Mouse providers supply a CD for installing the product and it should be used. Also keep in mind that not all operating systems are compatable with every Mouse, you should check and see if yours is supported. If you do all that and it still does not work, send it back and get another one. You might have a bent pin on the connector or and crossed wire in the mouse or bad connection in the mouse.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

Wireless mouse and keyboard not responding, no manual supplied for set up, trying to set up new desk top only four days old.

Maybe you need to install the drivers for the keyboard and mouse.

Try to download them from the internet based on your model number and install the drivers.

This should solve the problem.

My F8E832 wireless mouse and keyboard get very slow to respond after an hour or two of activity. If you shut down and reboot the system all returns to normal. Just doing a restart doesn't do the job. How...

Best if we know which operating system is used.
(First things first .. Batteries)
However, there is an easy way to narrow-down the issue.
I'd try the mouse/keyboard on another PC, and check it's action. If it works there, then perhaps drivers from the manufacturer's website can be installed on the PC referred to.

Wireless mouse and keyboard issues

If you have both sets of keyboard and mouse plugged in, turn off the computer and remove the old mouse and plug in the new mouse. Reboot and if necessary use the keyboard to login. Once windows is loaded let it detect the new mouse and then shut down again. Take out the old keyboard and reboot. You should now be able to use both new pieces without problems.

if you have a disc for the new items ,install first, shut down pc, then take the old mouse & keyboard off connect the new wireless ones before rebooting
you may need to sync the mouse & keyboard by holding in the small little button on each item and the reciever unit untill the lights come on indicating it is recieving the signals from both mouse & keyboard.if this does not work put the old mouse back in reboot then go into control panel / mouse, and sellect wireless mouse ,turn off the pc plug the new mouse back in then boot up
