That is called feedback. It happens if the microphone can hear the speakers. That is why it is preferred if you use earbuds or headphones when you use a mic or at least turn down the mic or turn down the speakers

What causes noise on Powered mixer

The noise you are hearing is probably coming from the power supply to the wireless microphone system.

I would suspect a "ground-loop" problem.
(Google that if necessary )

Best course of action would be to MUTE that channel on the mixer OR find the source of your "ground-loop" problem.

My microphone on my acer laptop isnt working and ive tried loking things up to see if i can fix it,ive tried it but it doesnt work at all.

I have just fixed this on my sons acer aspire one notebook

what i did was :-

go to

down to acer empowering technology
then over to and click on
acer erecovery management
wait a few seconds
a box will open up saying acer erovery management
click on the reinstall applications/drivers
click on contents
then go down to and click on the green install bar for the realtek audio
windows will go throught the process of reloading the audio driver

that should now of fixed the microphone problem and if you write these instruction down they may be useful for other problems
also you now know where to restore back to factory settings as well
but if you ever do that please make sure to save any files or photos that you want onto a spare drive or burn to disk because a factory restore will loose everything and take it back to when you ist bought it and you will need to set it all up again and can be a long winded process but sometimes neccessary

good luck

please let us know if fixya has fixed it for ya

How do i turn on the internal mircophone on a paviltion dv4

Now I am going to assume that you mean "enable" , so I will answer the question as how to enable the internal microphone.

1) Go to the start menu
2) Click on Control Panel (on right hand side menu)
3) Choose Sound (Change settings to classic view if you can't see this option)
4) Click on the recording tab
5) Click on Integrated Microphone Array
6) Click on Set Default to make it your default recording device
7) Click OK to finish

Hope this helps

When i put my hand over the mircophone it makes a sqeeking noise and when i try use adcuity to do my lrics it says error check input

1. The sound that you are hearing when you put your hand over the microphone is just feedback. Try adjusting the microphone input volume down a little and this should help reduce or eliminate this feedback sound. The reason that it happens is because by putting your hand over the microphone, you arr changing the characteristics of the mic's picup as toyr hand helps with reverberation and echo, both of which increase the chance of feedback.
2. I am afraid i don't know the software called adcuity. Please could you let me know the software author and which version it is and i will try to help.
