Well, this could be an issue with how you are focusing the camera or what your exposure settings are too high. Try looking up a tutorial on how to frame a shot and set up your camera.

Hope this helps.

My FLip Ultra's screen shows wavy black and gray lines. I can video things, but cant position the screen to center due to the lines. Upon playback the video works without the lines.

Sounds like the problem is centered around the LCD display on the camcorder itself. Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done to fix this. If the Flip is still under warranty, you can try to ship it back to the manufacturer for a repair/replacement and I would recommend finding out if that's at all possible FIRST AND FOREMOST!!! I hate to say it, but these camcorders were not made to last long at all. Dropping them from as low as 1 foot could cause it to break for good, even placing them down too hard on a kitchen counter could loosen the internal components so it no longer works. They are (IMHO) cheap in every sense of the word and it might be better to just purchase another Flip, or save up and upgrade to a higher quality camcorder. If you're feeling brave and the warranty is expired, you can try to CAREFULLY disassemble the Flip and find the wires going to the LCD screen to see if they are loose or cut. Or you could try LIGHTLY tapping the side and top of the LCD screen and see if that fixes the problem. If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer! haha j/k You could also try calling Flip's tech support at (888)222-6689.

Personally, I'm in love with my Samsung Full 1920x1080i 60hz HD camcorder I got for only $300 (about the cost of 2 Flips) with touch screen, time lapse, 20x opical zoom, photo IN video, youtube ready video, etc, etc, etc. Talk to your local electronics store (BestBuy, Circuit City, etc.) for their recommendations on a "inexpensive" camcorder, but avoid the term "cheap" as it implies low quality manufacturing. I'm not trying to sell you anything, but just showing you that for just a little more, you can get something that will LAST!

Projected image is blurry, mostly at the top of half. Weird. Tried another laptop. Although that one was slightly clearer, the top of the image was still blury.

Clean the lens on the front, turn on the projector and wait for it to heat up, then turn the plastic ring on the front to change your focus. computer image can't be made blurry because of software. Blurriness is always something to do with the lens.

When on the camera the image in display is invert

This is a common problem with the flip out display feature. Either the little image inverter switch is bad on the flip out screen unit or the flex cable unit going to the display is bad. Sometimes that switch can be cleaned ,but if it's the cable it will need replacement. This problem is a display issue however ,so if you can rotate the display in another postion to where you can use the camera you can still use it. It will not effect the recording made. I fix these all the time . Repairs run from $40 to approx $165. Larry's Electronics 916-362-8708 ledstiles@hotmail.com

Everything is blury have to set screen resolution to 800by600 pixels to try too make any thing out.

Connect the monitor to a laptop -- is it still blurry?
If so, then the monitor is the problem.
If not, then your computer (the video-card?) is the problem.

How to fix the blurness of the image in pagemaker when they are enlarged

I don't think you can in PageMaker. The blurring occurs because of the nature of the images you're probably using. They are made up of a set of small blocks of colours (pixels). If you increase the size of the image, the blocks just get bigger and it turns blurry.

Your two options:
* Sharpen the image - you can use free software like Picasa. This can be used to fix blurry images, but isn't ideal.
* Resample the image - this is the better solution, more pixels are added as the image size is increased. You need proper image software like photoshop or paint shop pro to do this.

JVC Picuture gets blurry

The ccd block is starting to fail. Thats the chip thats the eye of the camcorder at the back of the lense assy. Its mounted on a small circuit board. You can find the chip at parts.com. Its just a matter of dissassembling the camcorder and removing the chip from the board and soldering another onto it taking care not to over heat the chip. You do need good soldering skills.
