Your question is under coffee maker category and it is about toaster.

Anyway your toaster should not make crackling noise indicatve of arching. If it has run its life, change it

Plasma turns on but makes crackling sound what is that noise?

Sounds like it may be static electricity. You may have accumulated some dust on the inside. If you have a compressor with an evaporater, you can blow it out.I do it on my computer 5-6 times a year. Electronics draw dust.

My camera's built in flash is not working and is making crackling sounds..... how do I fix it ?

When you say "crackling sounds" do you mean electrical sounding crackles or something like gears grinding? If it's the first and especially if you smell something electrical then immediately send it back to Canon for repairs. If there's a short in the wiring or capacitor it could melt or worse. If it's more of a mechanical sound it may be debris lodged in the release mechanisim.

Those sounds would be either your power converter/supply inside the TC or/and faulty cabling inside that has been worn out resulting in noises and flickering.

"Down lever" doesn't stay down

You can try taking the toaster over to the kitchen sink and hold it upside down. Shake the heck out of it and you may dislodge something (like an old breadcrumb) in the switch. I've had to do this numerous times. You have to flip it upright, shake it, turn it upside down and shake it again -repeat until nothing comes out and nothing sounds like it's rolling around in the toaster.

Hard drive powers up, light comes on makes a crackling sound then goes off.

Crackling sounds are usually electrical. Does the unit smell burnt?
If the sound is actually a ticking sound, then the heads inside the hard drive are banging and the drive needs to be replaced.
Data retrieval for drives making clicking sounds are very costly and require a data retrieval company.
