Question about Epson RX620 All-In-One InkJet Photo Printer

On printer screen

ERROR Service Required Parts used in your printer are at the end of of their service life. See your printers documentation fo details. There isn't anything about this error in the manual. The only thing I could think of would be the ink cart ridridges. I replace all cartridges. I cannot remove this error from the screen. Pushing any and all buttons will not remove it from the screen. Even turning the printer off & on--does nothing. What other parts have a service life? THANKS for any help you can give.

Epson Stylus Photo RX620. Same problem with message, 'parts near end of service life, repair' or words to that effect. Holding down the B&W and STOP buttons while switching on worked for me too. Many thanks

By the way, the reason for the service warning is so that you will take the printer to the dealer for replacement of the fluorescent lamp!

The solution of holding down the Stop and B&W buttons while powering on worked for me. Thanks!

When turning power on, hold down STOP and B&W buttons together and this should fix error.

You actually need to change the ink absorber.

Heres a video on how its done on the R800.

Please refer to your manual for proper localization of the ink absorber.

I had this problem also. What i did was hold down the 'stop' and the 'B&W' buttons while powering up. this erased the error message and now I am up and running fine again.
