Log into your google account, not gmail and check your security. You may have app security on. This forces you to generate a code to add new devices.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to start Android Text Messages in Gmail

By connecting an Android phone, the first time, Google asks you to log into your Gmail account to sync with your phone. Although not obliged to do, to do so ensures that all text messages (SMS) and contacts are stored on your Gmail account, even if you delete them on the phone.

1. Open the Gmail application on your Android phone. The Gmail application is usually in the initial screen of most phones Android or the list of applications.

2. Enter your user name and Gmail password over the phone or the QWERTY keyboard on the screen. After logging in to Gmail on your phone, SMS will be synchronized with your Gmail account.

3. Gmail.com Open this site in your computer browser. Login to the same Gmail account that you used with the phone.

4. Click the "SMS" tab on the left side of the screen. Have contacts stored with gmail.

If your cell phone is synced with your gmail account, probably you also deleted it for gmail. Just to be sure, open gmail with your computer and look at CONTACTS. I'M AFRAID IT WILL BE GONE TOO FROM THERE. BUT TRY, ANYWAY.

My phone is not in service. I need to sync to my computer. How do I do this

Being that your phone is Android your contacts should be backed up to your gmail account that you entered when setting up your phone. If the contacts aren't synced with gmail you can connect your phone to any wifi network, hit the menu key - settings - accounts - Gmail, then hit sync. Other than that you can connect it to your computer via Micro USB cable, you'll get a pop up on your phone to "Mount as USB Storage" touch OK. Then on your computer you should find your phone in "My Computer" Photos are in a folder named "DCIM"
