MY STEAMVAC WON'T START

I CLEANED MY ROOM AND I STARTED ON THE SECOND ROOM. WHEN I STARTED ON THE SECOND ROOM, THE VAC DID NOT WANT TO START. I PRESSED ON THE HANDLE START BUTTON AND IT NEVER WANTED TO START AGAIN. I LET IT COOL DOWN A LITTLE THINKING THAT IT WAS THE PROBLEM, BUT IT NEVER STARTED AGAIN.

I have a Hoover SteamVac Dual V and it is leaking, bristles not working very well and only two are spinning and is not sucking any water
Very little solution comes out, or comes out in streaks when pressing the solution dispenser button on the handle. I think the lines may be stopped upped.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover F5866-900 SteamVac Deluxe Wet/Dry. You probably have a couple of brushes that are broken – the brushes are and assembly unit and would have to replace the entire brush assembly, and you are correct that the suction part of the vacuum is probably plugged up. You can take a wire hanger and use that to try to clear the clogged opening, but to be honest you may have to disassemble the vacuum and clean it entirely and replace the brush assm and any type of belt if needed. Pleas, feel free to check with your local vac dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hoover Steam Vac Spin Scrub Carpet Cleaner won't...

My machine is a little more than a year old. I have used it about 5 times. It started leaking the third time I used it. The fourth time I took it out, the brushes would not spin (I did clean them and rinse them after use each time).
Now the engine screams and won't **** anything up. Do you have any suggestions? My last Hoover Steam Vac was great and lasted for 3 years! Hi,
I have a Hoover Dual V SteamVac F7425-900 that the brushes won't spin. The lint screen is clean & the brushes switch is in the on position.
It dispenses & sucks up the cleaning solution & water; just no brush action. Help

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The only thing that I can recommend is that you may have a bad switch, some vacs may have a broken belt or the drive mechanism inside the Hoover Dual V SteamVac F7425-900 in or by the brush assm section and is need of repair. Please check the trouble shooting section of the owner’s manual if you’re needing help and to save money. If you don’t have one then contact the Hoover factory cust serv. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Your problem is inside the vacuum hose where they have installed a small coiled hose that carries water to the smaller power head for upholstery. After taking this apart I found the inner smaller coiled hose was broken at 2 different places. A very poor design and poor quality material. The hose looked like it was rotted. This could be from old detergent left in the line or maybe the wrong detergent. A job to get it apart but if you remove the three screws that hold the side plate over the electrical you can block that hose off and the machine will work on floors only as the water to the power head is terminated.

SOURCE: Hoover Steamvac Dual V F7412-900-One Day old, Leaking!

Maybe ...try this ...press the handle release button and lay the handle down to the floor, completely open the unit. There are two 3/4" grayish hoses easily visible at the base, that are parallel to each other. Make sure the hose on the right (if you are standing behind the handle & looking toward the front of the unit is firmly attached to it's little coresponding nozzle. The nozzle is mostly hidden and It's a bit hard to get a good grip on it if your fingers are big. It doesn't take much to knock it loose/apart.) This solved my leakage. Good luck!

Inside the collection bucket is a round white ball that needs cleaned off and insured that it is free to move. Also check the ribbed suction hose for breakage after you lay the machine open as wide as you can. You will see that flex hose stretch as you open the unit wide. (they rip apart there)

Hoover SteamVac isn't extracting solution from carpet. Motor runs and the brushes weren't turning at first but do now

That vacuum is fine on liquid extraction but often gets clogged by debris when it hits a solid. It would be better to do the clean with the steamvac then follow it with a wet/dry shop vac to be sure you got all the water. I say this because the vac built into that hoover is way too easy to clog.

Hoover Dual V steam vac model F7425-900 won't dispense detergent

Check the spring loaded valve at the bottom of the detergent bottle.
Push it up with your finger or a pencil or some such thing and see
if fluid comes out. If it does, then the problem is the valve or tubing I
would suspect.

My stem vac won't **** up the water.

Assure the ring gasket is in place under the hood. A round rubber gasket must be in place on the round tube under the hood where the recovery tank sits to connect the vacuum from the motor to the round tube on the bottom of the tank.

HOW DO i GET THE WATER OUT OF THE CARPET ONCE IT'S CLEANED?

Do you have a shop vac . Take the bag out of the shop vac ,and **** up the water . When you are done open your windows and do not walk on the carpet for at least one hour . You want your carpets to dry with the pile standing up. Carpet rake is the best thing to use . Best of luck Ed.

I was on my 2nd room and the brushes stopped working and it spells like a belt broke but there are no belts on the machine. Also making a louder sound.

Hoover SteamVac F5914-900 Spin Scrub Upright --- If the vacuum does not have a belt there has to be something driving the brushes of which a part is broken and is in need of replacement. Please check your owner’s manual under the trouble shooting guide to see what is wrong, or feel free to call the Hoover factory website or phone 3 to cust serv @ Hoover to see what is wrong or to have them send out an owner’s manual to you for future use.
