The Hideaway Kicker has all the wires installed. I connected the power to the battery, the ground to a screw, although it is questionable since it has plastic around it, control wire merged with wires that i have from my LED Glow Lights that i have connected to the fuse box, and the RCA wires are connected to the new head unit. I turn on my system with out the RCA wire installed yesterday and the light on the sub turns on saying it has power. Next day i put in the RCA wires and turn it on, no power. How do i fix it so the power comes on to the sub?

there is also the possiblity of a ground potential problem you could try running a wire from the ground point of the amp to the rear of the head unit, in this way both components have the same ground potential....second , I would take the ground loose a the point you have connected to the vehicles chassis , i then would prepare the surface by sanding a quarter <25 cent piece> area and using two washers and nylon insert lock nut, and a bolt to securely fasten your ground ,,,,also I would use a grounding wire equal too or 2x teh ga you are using for your power < battery > cable.....and lastly I would reduce the input sensitivity to your amplifier, because if u have them turned up < more sensitive> the amp will amplify abient electrical noise present in your vehicle... if this helps let me know , if it does not let me know...

if your amplifier has the internal Kicker card dealie "little computer card on the side that you can change out crossover settings and such," Turn off the vehicle, remove this device and make sure the contacts on the card are clean and free from black soot (showing a spark). clean the contacts with a pencil eraser or something hard but soft... and put the little card back in place, start the car again and see if that helps, I used to lose one speaker every once in a while with the same amp. I ended up replacing the module with a different one from my dealer and it worked fine (still does and it's been in my car 6 years). Check that little module. if this doesnt work, while the car is running and the music is "playing" wiggle the card and see if it works sometimes and not others. Likely is the little module.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. Does the voltage on either the B+ or remote pulse below ~11 volts when the LED flashes?
SOURCE: goes into protection mode for no reason
if the amp is powering on the sub and playing and then turns in to protect mode it could be the amp is getting hot and its kicking into protect so you wont fry the amp
