Error in Cover Sensor (PS14) in M Toner Container

Description Unable to detect opening of the Toner Container Inner
Cover when removing the Toner Container.
Remedy Identify the cause of the error whether it is due to link
mechanism to open the Toner Container Inner Cover or
problem at the Toner Container Inner Cover Sensor side. ?
1. Perform the user mode (Adjustment/Maintenance>
Replace Specified Toner) to check if the Toner Container
Inner Cover opens normally (damage, slide of shaft area,
etc.). ?
2. Check if the Toner Container Inner Cover Sensor is
soiled and the installation of the sensor. ?
3. Check the service mode (COPIER> I/O> DCON> P024
bit9) to see that the output value of the Toner Container
Inner Cover Sensor is changed normally when opening/
closing the Toner Container Inner Cover. ?
If it is normal, the value becomes 0 by rotating the Set-on
Drive Shaft with the attached tool and opening the Toner
Container Inner Cover. When closing the Toner Container
Inner Cover by hand, it becomes 1. ?
3-1. When the Toner Container Inner Cover is not opened
although the Set-on Drive Shaft rotates, check the drive
system from upstream (Set-on Drive Unit -> Hopper Unit
-> Bottle Base Unit -> Toner Container Inner Cover Unit). ?
If it is damaged, replace the damaged part and then
perform step 5 and later steps. ?
3-2. When the output value is not changed normally
although the Toner Container Inner Cover can be opened/
closed, check the Sensor Harness (to see if the harness
is caught, disconnected or physically removed, *including
the Relay Connector). ?
If there is no problem, replace the sensor. After checking
the output value in step 3, perform step 5 and later steps. ?
4. If the problem is not solved by replacing the foregoing
parts, replace the Drum Driver PCB (UN4) and then
perform step 5 and later steps. ?
5. Clear the error in service mode (COPIER>
FUNCTION> CLEAR> ERR), and then turn OFF and then
ON the main power. ?
6. Replace the toner (reinstall the removed Toner
Container) at least once in user mode (Adjustment/
Maintenance> Replace Specified Toner), and check that
toner replacement can be performed normally.

This is a easy fix and very common problem. It is caused by toner from the toner cartridge dropping onto toner supply sensors.(The last two digits of the sub code 0103 denotes which sensor (03 in this case is the black toner supply sensor).

Fix open front cover remove waste toner container by releasing blue locking lever on the right.(point of consideration, when removing waste toner container be careful not to shake or tilt container as if full can spill over into full detection window causing 'waste toner full message'). Then you will need to remove the cover directly above waste toner container, there are 3 screws one at the very bottom of cover roughly in the middle, one top left of cover and one under a cover on the right of cover (to remove the right side screw press down on top of the small cover whilst pulling, this cover will pop off allowing you to get screw out.) now you can remove this cover, underneath this cover you should see a circuit board with lots of wires. Now remove this circuit board and remembering where all the wire connections are and the plastic circuit board support where the circuit board was attached too, allowing visual of all four sensors and ease of cleaning with a blower brush. Re-assemble the copier and reboot machine. Job done.

E000025-0003 error code

yo BUZ,
Open the front door. You will see a cosmetic cover that sits below the toner catridges and has stickers that give you those generic pictures on how to change the toner. You need to remove it by removing 3 screws. 2 you can see easily and the 3rd is underneath and you will just have to use your common sense to determine the the third screw that will allow you to remove that cover. This will require removal of the waste toner bottle. Once you have removed the cover you will see a buttload of toner in there. This toner has clogged up a sensor or 2 and the sensors use a beam of ultrviolet lite to have a clear line of site to work. Use a can of air and just go nuts spraying everything . If you look closely you will see where the toner has migrated, Just blow the hell out of it, and hold your breath. The sensors that monitor the turning of the augers that provider addtional toner as needed to replenish the toner supply can't see the auger moving since they are covered with toner. You will figure it out and you see all that **** toner. You can actually remove the sensors and clean them. But a huge blast thru that entire area with do it

I have attempted to install 3 different black toner cartridges in my OKI c3400. I keep getting an error: "Toner cartridge lock lever is improper, drum missing, or toner sensor error. OFFLINE." I first...

The plastic shutter in the ID is fully or partially covering the toner sensor window.

Move the cover upward to allow for the sensor to become fully exposed prior to reinstalling the drum.

I have a C3530 MFP and it won't print because it says check toner cartridge black. Toner Sensor Error

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Toner sensor error is related to the agitator inside the toner cartridge, it occasionally falls out of its housing so it does not move the toner sensor which is the white plastic piece that moves up and down on the coloured handle, the toner sensors themselves see this white flag if it doesn’t move then the printer thinks the sensor is broken so toner sensor error is flagged and if the flag moves too quickly the machine thinks the toner is empty. To resolve the issue your printer is facing with please check that toner lock lever is in position and follow the following procedure---

Press the cover release and open the printer’s top cover fully. Make sure the Toner Cartridge in question is correctly positioned and the right hand clip is pushed back. While holding it by its top centre, lift the image drum, complete with its toner cartridge, up and out of the printer. On the Right hand side of the toner look for a sensor patch, make sure this is not dirty. If it is dirty clean it with a soft object such as cotton wool. Now look inside the printer opposite to where the sensor patch would sit. There is a black square with a sensor located inside and check that this is not dirty. Now replace the drum and toner, and close the printer cover. Try to print a test page and it will start printing normally.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Waste toner message will not clear.

sir,

You open the front cover, there you can see the plastic bag. on the side of the cover you can see the intruction regarding the removing and refixing. actually it will be in white like colour and having a black bottle cap.

And also after you taken the waste toner catridge. you can see one sensor below a pipe like that which is projecting from the drum unit , it is the waste toner path. Inside this the waste toner auger will be there. you just clean the sensor because you may also get the waste toner error by the sensor.

1. sensor below the auger after the waste toner catridge.
2. waste toner catridge outside and inside. dispouse the toner and also clean the otside part will cloth , beause some projections some holes like that will be there. i told na that sensor will be passing the signals through this waste toner catridge projection. If any toner in that projection then also the same. Be causreful while you are disposing the toner. You may intake and also your properties may be having the black coating like that.

any clarifications mail me at ramanathanr@integramicro.com .
