Question about Troy Bilt 25HP VTwin Hydrostatic 50" Zero Turn Radius Mower
First buy proper belt... Next note how old belt is warped around the pulleys, take a picture or draw a diagram... Remove all covers off deck pulleys, and guards to expose belt completely... Pull and stretch belt off one of the idler pulleys, once one is off the rest will slide off... Reverse procedure for installation... Note: grease all nipple fittings, bearing and shafts to avoid seizing of bearings or bushings.

If you don't have your manual, this might be for yours (you didn't list complete model number)
See the part about changing drive belt and adjusting. If you got it around idler pulleys wrong, it might not lelt the clutch go far enough to apply the break.

Go to this website, upper right hand corner and do a parts look up.
Search for your model and that good stuff they ask of you and then
choose mower housing should be there, browse the site it's really cool
and has a lot of info.
I did a sample search for generic riding mower deck and found great diagram of belt routing. Give it a try you will find same results Good Luck! Don't forget the thumbs!

find a small engine repair shop and buy another belt, and a tensioner if it is over 5 years old. Oftentimes it is better to take the old belt with you in case they do not have a listing for your tractor. Before you take anything apart use that cell phone camera for a practical use and lots of pics of the belts. That will save you your next question of how do these belts go back on.
