Question about Electrical Supplies
I have 2 x 20a rcd's (Legrand ref 060-12) for 2 hot water tanks, both have on-auto-off settings and are linked to a C2 Rcd (Legrand ref. 040-56). The wiring is currently set to keep the tanks permanently switched on, but I want to change the wiring so that the 'Auto' function works overnight. I am in the middle of nowhere in south-eastern europe & local pseudo-electrician hasn't got a clue beyond basic wiring. Please help - I am very competent DIYer & ok on standard wiring but unsure on this.
When fixya appears on 1st page of search for product, then either the product number is not right or product is older or product number is not exact.
What voltage are you using?
What is a Legrand 060-12?
What is a C2 Rcd?
What controls the auto function overnight... a timer?
Probably a change in wiring at timer will work, but then the timer buttons might not have any affect for override on-off.
You could put in a DPDT bypass switch or bypass timer... that connects to incoming wires before the auto timer and then connects to wires after timer.

SOURCE: Safety issues
Often the breaker is in the main service panel and so there is no way to cut power to the panel. This means they will be working with live current and exposed electrified conductors. This is dangerous work and requires caution and appropriate safeguards. If you don't have a lot of knowledge and experience with this kind of things, you should call a professional electrisian.

There might be a short circuit in your wring for that circuit.
You can unplug all your electrical items from that circuit.
See if the circuit still turn off.
If it does, it could be the wring or the equipment that is permanently wired in.
If not, you can plug in one item at a time, turn it on to determine which electrical item is defective.

check & confirm the following
1. delta connection of the motor is done properly, with the combination of different windings.
2. check the quality of the 3 pole mcb or check with other one.

If you have a Bryant load center, you can use other breakers in it, including the Eaton GFCB120 GFI since several companies unified their design. The GFI (ground fault interrupter) or GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter), same thing, may be required for a device you are installing, such as bathroom, kitchen or outdoor fixtures.
The Eaton series includes very clear installation instructions, but if your problem is that they are missing, then all you do is install the breaker in a open slot in the breaker panel, but you have to attach the neutral [white] wire differently. On regular breakers, the neutral goes right to the ground lug in the panel. With a GFI breaker, it goes through the breaker, and then is connected to the ground lug.
