it sounds like you have somthing staying powered up hook up battery negitive cable and then use test light on positive lead put clamp on battery positive lead and use the point on the battery if light is on bright then you have somthing staying on like glove light dome lights or even visor lights with lead still hooked up you need to touch the clamp to the point end to power down the timer system usually 20 seconds then pull clamp away from point end while staying connected with battery and cable if you loose that connection you will need to start timer power down again then while someone is keeping the connection pull one fuse at a time and notice if light goes out or dim if it does either then see what that fuse powers and it will tell you what is staying powered
Hi deb lewis, the orange power light is your warning that your power supply is going bad. I'd replace the power supply with the same size or larger (preferred) Best of Luck Mark
Light stays on all the time: Turn power to light off. Wait 10 seconds. Turn power back on.
Typical option on motion lights: Quick power flick -- light stays on. Slow power flick -- light goes into motion sensing mode.
Hopefully the professional installer gave you a switch.
Hello,
The reason the red light on your rinnai vent free gas heater stays on simply is because it is having power on it, if it is unplugged, it will go off, or if you turn off the switch from the power outlet, then it will go off too.
As long as there is power supplied to the rinnai vent free gas heater, the power light will remain on.
Take care and good luck
You might want to try disconnecting everything EXCEPT the power cord. If you still get the red power light (it should stay there forever) then bring the gateway to Radio Shack or somewhere they have a 5 volt DC @ 2 amp power supply and plug it in for 5 to 10 minutes and see if the power light then stays green. If it stays green then all you need is a new power supply! If not, then the gateway is fried. Mine keeps going from a solid green power light to a flashing green power light and I can hear a relay click every 2 minutes at which time a pop-up say "ethernet line disconnected". I tried new power supply etc. to no avail! It is fried after 1.5 years! No more 2wire for me!
