This could be difficult to find but most likely a grounding/shorting issue. I would start by checking the power supply and the leads coming off of that.

SOURCE: blown fuse

Most likely there was a power event (surge, brownout, ect) that caused the power supply to fail in the TV causing the fuse to blow. you will need to have someone come and look at the unit and give you an estimate. If you keep putting fuses in and blowing them you could actually be causing more damage.

SOURCE: tv lamp keeps blowing out

You have a Ballast not working properly, basically the driver of the ballast is damage, that is causing that the ballast works with unregulated voltage (by meaning it goes u and down on the volatage limits), causing a faster consumed of the lamp. (Is like driving your car in a city you need to slow down accelerate, etc. and in a highway you maintain a speed and the gas last longer then driving at city).
You can get the ballast from samsungparts.com or i have bought some from discount-merchant.com at cheaper price and still good

Toshiba 52hm95 lamp breaks after only weeks of use

It is as far as the set is concerned, it sees the lamp not on.

Most likely cause would be the lamp ballast that drives the lamp.

Hi,Osram lamps average around 3000-4000 hrs.Normally 1 -1 1/2 yr.I do think the lamp went out.The ballast is a possibility, when it's going bad it will make clicking noises or attempts to light the bulb.I recommend to get the Original Philips lamp for they average 6000-8000 hrs 3-4 yrs.

Is the cooling fan working? If the fan is not working lamp may be overheating. Check to make sure the fan is working. I believe the fan should be on all the time.

Just replaced bulb to a phillips, lasted one month

Most systems with lamps will have a timer. If the timer gets to a certain hour the set should warn you to replace the lamp. Once you do, you have to reset the timer. If it gets to the max it will not allow you to turn it on till the timer is reset. Check your manual or call the mfg. to see how to reset. Sometimes it's the volume up and down at the same time or menu and power at the same time. They are all different so if you have no manual it's best to call tech support to get the reset steps.

Bulb keeps burning out

There are several reasons for short lamp life. Inadequate ventilation or clogged cooling fans, a bad lamp driver or lamp ballast (they are the same) and the use of non-original Sony lamps, as the aftermarket replacements are known problem causers. Remember too that the number of times the lamp is turned on and off is a BIG factor in how long the lamp will last.

Picture turns on and off

Just found this trying to figure out what was wrong with my same model tv. Since mine was under warantee, I had the repairman troubleshoot it. He changed the lamp and the tv started working normally again.

I didn't understand how the lamp could be bad if it lit up while the tv was on. He said the tube was probably using too much voltage or too little voltage to run, so the tv would turn itself off and on in an attempt to receive the correct voltage from the lamp.

I realize this is 9 months late, but maybe it can help someone else who has this problem. I can't believe there are only 3 rca dlp's out there with this problem.
