Vizio model vx322 hdtv10a is losing sound and makes a loud humming noise and a poping sound every few minutes

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

YAMAHA HTR 5660 MAKES POPING SOUND WITH LOUD NOISE AND BRIGHT LIGHT

Looks like you've got the best connection available - initially I thought it might have something to do with decoding the prologic signal from the analog input, but obviously not! And since you've got the audio separate from the video it is unlikely there is any interference from the video signal in the cable. Have you tried a different DVD player (I reckon that is most likely)? Also try connecting the video signal DIRECTLY from DVD to the TV if you aren't already doing so (you are anyway aren't you - the HTR 5660 doesn't have HDMI out does it?) Finally, if you have some spare cables around, try changing them - see if you get the same response when using component video cable instead of HDMI.
