Your drive seems to be dead from a mechanical malfunction. The beeping is coming from the internal parts as it is trying to spin up but cant. Maybe a seized motor or a crashed head. Never the less disconnect power and contact a professional data recovery company to get it looked at if your data is important. SERT is experienced with external hard drive recovery and has a clean room onsite. You can call and speak to someone there for free to get a phone consultation. But you will need a company that can do clean room recoveries.

Can't play video on sharp lc-32sb24u

The USB port on LC-32SB24U is only for firmware and other service updates. The TV can't understand the video file format; you will need to connect the TV to your computer as a monitor to display the videos. The manual discusses using the Service port starting on page 26. The manual is available here: http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/Sharp_LC37SB24U_LC32SB24U_Manual.pdf .

I wish that I had better news for you.

Hard drive keeps beeping and not recognised by the computer

Hi check on the device manger id the hard drive is being received by the computer. If it is listed then re-install the driver for it.

If it is not listed on device manger , try a different cable, try a different USB port. Try it in another computer or xbox/ps3 to see if it can be read by them

Also...

Re-install it into another caddy to make sure it not the caddy USB port damaged.

If the hard drive is making a loud noise, the hard drive may be damaged. It may also be the hard drive controller damaged.

When plugged into USB slot, Beeping annoying sound to begin with, followed by light flashing and Hard drive not being detected. Thanks

This issue is related to the hard drive, Have you dropped the hard drive at any time recently? If so then you may have lost your data. Since the hard drive is makeing a beeping noise then the head has died meaning the hard drive is dead hope this helps.

One long beep and 2 short beeps

Depending upon your BIOS manufacturer, generally this POST error code means either a video card problem or a motherboard problem. If the RAM is OK then you have a motherboard problem, and this may not be cost effective to fix. Consider putting your money towards a new laptop, remove the hard disk and put it into an external USB adapter case and use it as an USB hard drive for backup etc.

Maxtor One Touch 4 is beeping when I connect it by usb

Is this a new drive or have you been using it for some time and it just started doing this? What make/model computer do you have?

Usually when they start beeping like that, it's an indication that the drive is not getting enough power. It's possible that you are plugging into unpowered USB ports. Try using the USB ports that are directly connected to the motherboard (the ones in the back.)
Use USB 2.x ports if they are available. Try connecting the drive to another computer.

Seagate freeagent 500g usb 2.0 beeps sound

I am so happy to say that i HAD the exact same problem.
Its an issue with the drive disk itself. Long story short because i dropped the drive the the disk was no longer able to spin fast enough to start the drive (the beeping sound actually being the disk trying to start spinning.
After spending literally the last 4-5 hours looking for a solution I found a unusual method that basically either works, or it doesn't there's no it kind of works. what you need to do is unplug the drive, then plug it back in and start Vigorously spinning it whilst keeping the drive horizontal (similar to what you would do when your unscrewing a light bulb).
You have to try and do so simultaneously with the beep and it should "kick start" the drive (AND OBVIOUSLY DON'T LET THE WIRE DROP OUT AS YOUR SPINNING IT AS YOUR COMPUTER WONT RECOGNISE IT IF ITS NOT PLUGGED IN).
I Know this method sounds far fetched but put it this way, 15mins ago I was working out how im gonna get hundreds of pounds to restore this drive, Now, i've just finished copying my informations onto a laptop from the drive so i can take this piece of plastic **** back to the shop :D.......
Never again Seagate and Thank God for letting me find a solution.
