Question about Tools & Hardware - Others
Edited: I have the Oster Cordless Nail Filer and it is a two speed pet nail battery operated trimmer. It works fine on 1 speed but when I flick it over to the 2 speed it does nothing. Ever heard of this problem? Cheers Leigh :)
It seems as if the Battery is low, Or the teeth that control the movement is burned up of such when you use your wipers on your car, but if the moter starts to act up it will slow down the moter on the wiper and may start to make a noice, GL

Very nice tool indeed. I have had mine since they first released it to the public but I have never had any problems with either size brads. Have you ever dropped the fastener? Check your rail for bends as it may cause the longer brads to be binding. If there are no bends, detach the rail and look to see if there is debris within the rail preventing a 2" length from advancing that would not otherwise affect the 1.5". If none of this seems to be the problem, return the brads to the store for replacement as the defect may be within the brads themself. Hope this is helpful.

Perhaps This Link will get you going in the proper direction. It's not a schematic but it is the Tacwise homepage, hopefully they can be helpful to you.

Hello. I can help you. The nail gun you have uses 18 gauge brads. I would use only original Bostitch 18 gauge.
The one MM of difference you mention is the reason why you do not have the pressure you did have. Get rid of those 31MM brads and get the 18 gauge. Home Depot carries the Bostitch line. I would go there or to homedepot.com

I would think a part other than the magazine. I would first check the condition of the nose to make sure it is not just worn out. Also check the driver for the end being flat and the back side (toward nail)not worn excessively and lastly check the O ring on the piston. Starting with nose unplug air and look to see if oval and then bounce the tool without air and see if the piston drops from the rest position. If so that is where I would start. Let me know if something other than this and I will try and help. I have worked on quite a few of these. If I have helped you would you please rate my response accordingly. Thank you

ensure the spool is not ended if so replace with new spool of string. also check the retaining screw in the middle is not too tight. undo it one click at a time to alow the spool to unwind when the motor runs
always disconnect your strimmer from the power when doing this also wear protective footware and long trousers, when using such tools.
