Someone might have tried to access your acc. so you got blocked for 24 hrs...you should still be able to access with your secret questions etc.. follow prompts on their site.

1-408-349-1572, explain to the customer service what had happened. They will ask you your account information and then they compare your
original info with the changed info. Your account will be activated within 24 hours.

To find out if somebody has blocked you or not follow these steps : 1
Sign on to your Yahoo Messenger account and add the person to your list of friends. Check randomly to see if they are online at different times. If they are not, and you expect them to be, they may be blocking you.

Access the Yahoo Messenger homepage with your Internet browser and click "Sign Up" at the top right of the page.

Add your friend from your other account to the new account's friend list, and if they are online, check back with your other name. If they do not appear online with the other name, they are blocking you.
If you want to reopen your yahoo account just login to that account and if it is block then the yahoo will suggest you for the reopening of your email. The wizard will be provided and follow it with due care as it will prompt for the emails that you have received are to retained or discarded, the account is you are holding is yours, etc...Just provide the information to that wizard correctly and if this does not solve problem then contact the yahoo assistance through any medium like email from alternative that you carries or telephone conversition convising them that you are holder of that account, etc....

Your account may be blocked by yahoo for 2 reasons.
1. Your account has been spamming or 2. Your account has been reported for abuse.
If you are not the one doing those spamming or abuse, then your account might got compromised. It is advised that you get a new yahoo account since your blocked yahoo address was already harvested by spammers or spambots and was able to used it to send out abuse or spam. Make sure you secure your new account by using a strong password.
