Wiring diagram for 1986 gmc sierra 2500?

Other than POSSIBLY some gauge sending units, it should be reasonably simple. You could most likely re-use the temperature sender and the oil pressure switch.

The alternator should plug in the same. The starter wires should hook up the same. The ignition, providing it's electronic/HEI (big distributor cap with built in ignition coil in the top) will simply hook up to the wire that formally sent power to the injector pump shut off solenoid on the 6.2.

You won't, or shouldn't have to use ANY of the glow plug or cold advance/high idle wiring. The cold advance wiring should have 2 connectors 'pig tailed' together that was on top, towards the front of the 6.2.

Hope this helps.

This is only my personal opinion, but unless there was some major mechanical problems with the 6.2, I would have left it in. I have an '85 GMC K2500 with the 6.2, 3.73 gears, and 'granny' 4 speed. It gets an average of 20 mpg and does everything I ask of it. Yes, it's not a super power house, (they weren't designed to be) but if I had a 350 gas engine I can guarantee I wouldn't be pulling the mpg's that I do with the 6.2. Plus I can burn WVO (waste vegetable oil) which is free.

Like I said, this is only my personal opinion.

Freezer and frigerator not getting cold

Good Afternoon friend, thank you for your post!
Based off my understanding your Frigidaire refrigerator is not getting cold. This could be a possible issue with your sealed system, control panel, or wiring harness. I would recommend performing a reset on your refrigerator and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for at least ten minutes. If that does not help correct your issue since it could be one of the underlying issues you may need to seek assistance from a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Freezer and frigerator will not get cold

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.
Be sure the BACK COVER is in place and hasnt been accidently removed.

The freezer works but no cold air in frigerator in side by side unit.

If freezer is icing up, you might have a defrost problem. Frost free models have a heating element that is controlled by a timer to automatically defrost ice, defrost timer turns on defrost heating element every 12 hours to melt ice in freezer and allow good air flow.
You can test defrost element with an ohm meter(located inside freezer coils-will have two wires going to a plug connection), if OK replace defrost timer (located in various places depending on make and model
