I did a factory reset on my i craig 10 in netbook and now it won't load start screen

open it and take out the battery hold down the start botton 10 secon then put battery back and turn on

You can perform a factory reset, but this will wipe out all user-level data on the machine.

Have you tried just pushing and holding the reset button on the underside of the machine?

Factory data reset: to erase all user's data on the Device as follows:

• Click "Factory data reset" button to enter.
• Click "reset device" button.
• Click "Erase everything" button to start reset.
• Wait until the device finishes the reset by itself.

The Device will turn off automatically. (It takes a few minutes).

1. restart windows system from login page.
2. before booting to "Acer" press immediately Alt+10 and continue pressing until
"windows prompt: loading". (this is before the Windows Logo)
3. you will arrived into two (2) options.
-Reset or restore factory settings.
and
-second is restore system only.
note: the second option will restore the system without and boot to normal without password
plus back-up the data and will be save by default directory c:\backup (this is where file save on documents, music, video and others)
-the first option will erased all data and format the system and install fresh windows 7 starter
and install the drivers of the netbook acer -aspire one.
4. wait for the system to finish its task under option 2 then it will restart or reboot.
5. process of resetting the password will be done. you can now type a new password for you
windows system.

Try factory reset. Press the hidden reset button while powering the unit. This should clear out everything that caused the hangup.

Something to try....

Power the unit off (holding power button) and selecting Power off
Then simultaneusly hold the back button and on button for 8 seconds,the android icon should appear
Press back button
In the menu, select wipe data/factory reset
On the next screen select "yes delete all user data"
The next screen select "reboot system now"

It could be a couple of things. Did you try the ALT F4 combo? Also have you tried to press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Otherwise you could wait for the power to run out then start it. I believe wither F10 or F2 will bring you to your setting screen. Select reset to default settings. In doing this you won't loose any information. That might help. Otherwise it sounds like a hard-drive problem.

On your craig netbook can be resetted or restored to factory settings by following the below steps in order for you to perform the process correctly:

1. power down the device
2. turn back on the net book
3. press f2 at the boot menu
4. select the option to restore your device to factory settings.
