Question about Garden
Some time ago I took my line trimmer into a reputable dealer as it would die when on full revs. They said it was the fuel filter which they replaced at a cost of $95 (basic service charge) The problem still remains and when I questioned them they responded may be further items requiring attention. If I spend another $95 I've basically outspent the cost of a new machine. Ive replaced the plug and it has new clean fuel in the tankk

It usually wont idle very well when it's cold, Goto #1 on the choke give the rope a couple of "quick" tugs, and then move it to #2 Give it one or 2 more tugs with a little throttle, now it should be running witha little throttle, let it run like that for a minute then move it to #3 kinda still pumping the throttle a little and it should take off fine. If this is the 4 stroke, mine did the same thing until it was broke in good. (About 4-5 uses), now I have to say its more reliable than any 2-stroke I've owned and I use it commercially. 1st or 2nd pull everytime and is ready as soon as it fires! Hope this helps!

SOURCE: My Echo power edge trimmer
I was having the same problem and stood there while the tech fixed it for me. I could have done it myself; honestly, nothing to be afraid of. Take the air cleaner off and then take the carburetor off and start taking it apart layer by layer (remove screws and take pictures with a digital camera of how to put it back). It is not complicated and it was a small piece of grass stuck where you never thought it could get that allowed a start but not full throttle.

I resolved my problem by taking apart the carborator and cleaning it. There were clogged passaged that had stuff come out of them when I used airisol carb cleaner to blow them out. I only had to make one gasket the carb mount gasket which is pretty basic only 5 holes.
It ran for the next 3 hours, ran fantastic!!!!!!

check to make sure your kill switch is not shorting and you have the right gap from the coil to the flywheel also if the flywheel sheer pin is damaged in the least this will cause a multitude of problems... it is the timing pin and must be in good shape not damaged or sheered ..any way reply to email@example.com and i will try to help you through this.... DALE good luck and will wait for reply..
