I have a dirt devil M08100RED and don't know how to install the attachments. How do I use the hose attachment?

To use the hose attachment, first lift the black plug (above the nozzle side of the vacuum). Next remove the belt from the motor shaft using the belt lifter. Hook the belt on the left side of the shaft and rotate clockwise. Pull the belt gently towards you. See picture 6 (and Part A) of the manual; I've provided the link below. The belt lifter was included if your vacuum came with the attachments. If you need one, that is part 1880262000.

Once the belt is removed, depress the spring clip on the end of the hose. Align the spring clip with groove at the bottom of the opening. Line up the hose and push it into the cavity where the belt was. Pull gently to ensure that the hose is secured to the vacuum.

The manual for the Dirt Devil M08100RED is available on the product site: . The direct link is . You can purchase accessories and parts from the manufacturer. Scroll down on the product page and click on the Parts link.

I hope this helps.

The belt on my bissell powerforce compact keeps falling off the spindle. So its not moving the brush it stays on for a minute then falls off.

Either your belt has stretched beyond its specs or you have larger problems. Are you talking about a new belt? If not, try a new belt. If so, check to make sure the beater bar will spin freely without a belt attached. If it spins without a belt attached, make sure the bearing blocks at both ends are in good shape.

Replace the belt on a upright vac

There is a very small wheel attached to the motors drive. Belt goes around the motor drive wheel and then around the drive roller assembly

How do you attach the belt to the shaft. it is blowing the dirt

Hi Look to the right hand side of the upright from the front - you should see a slide out door which has to be unscrewed by one screw. Once undone the door will slide out and the new belt can be attached.

2 belts on hoover u6634-900

I realized that the fatter flat belt needed to b attached to the wheel shaft, to make it so the button to make the unit useable as a machine could be depressed. When that flatter belt was then attached it raised the small wheel i was trying to figure out how it was used was then raised and made the thinner belt fit properly.

Kirby G6 attaching fluffer brush on shampooer

Sure can,

You have two choices,
1.) To use your shampoo attachment, you'll need the fluffer shield, To set up the attachment seperate the tray assembly (the part that holds the roller brush) from the nozzle assembly (the part that attaches to the machine). Now seperate the roller brush from the tray (easiest way is to pull the belt). Insert the roller brush into the fluffer shield (it only goes one way). Insert the fluffer shield with the roller brush installed into the nozzle assembly the plastic shield will be faced towards the front of the machine. Turn belt lifter to where the red arrows match and attach to the front of the machine. Turn belt lifter to where the green arrows match and you should be in business.

2.) Your using the floor buffing attachment it the easiest method just put on like the floor nozzle (thing you vacuum with).

Floor Attachment

Try this,

With the floor nozzle off the machine spin the belt lifter around until the red arrows match. If you look at the side that attaches to the vacuum you should be able to see the belt up on the hook. If is not on the hook offf the machine you will never get the belt on. Once the belt is on the hook attach the floor nozzle to the front of the machine. At this point you need to spin the belt lifter back to where the green arrows match. Oh and another suggestion make sure your hieght adjuster the pedals with arrows are all the way up. Hopefully that helps you out.

Attaching the Belt

Rotate the square knob on the front of the attachment to the "Belt On" position (green marker). Insert your fingers in the attachment port (the round opening on the back where the "hook" is) and position the belt so it's centered and as high up as it will go (that's usually just below the center of the opening. THEN rotate the square knob on the front to the "Belt Off" position. You should feel the belt tighten up and the know harder to rotate.

Kirby Ultimate G will not suck with main brush head attachment

You may need a new belt, it may have stretched enough so it isn't turning the brush roll anymore.
