SOURCE: Tile Saws for shor and vurved cuts

A 100mm angle grinder is used for that kind of work. It can also be used for "L" shaped cuts and for making holes. It is usually being used dry and more rarely used wet

SOURCE: crooked cuts

The bearings in your saw need to be replaced. I would contact a DeWalt store to obtain the parts or have them do the repair. You have an excellent saw there, well worth repairing. good luck.

SOURCE: Tile Saw Troubleshooting

if your blade is newer or even well used, one way to make it cut better is find a used brick or a piece of a concrete block and cut through them, what really works best is a carborundum stone that setters use to hone cut edges of tile, you can get 1 at any tile store or home depot for 5 bucks. another trick is to lightly pull up on the table towards end of cut, if they keep breaking at end of cut, and you have the gauge set simply flip tile up side down and start your cut then back it off flip it over and cut through. all saw cuts leave minor chips on cut edge, we always stone cuts. cutting a brick cleans debris off blade. MAKE SURE WATER IS PRESENT WHEN CUTTING

SOURCE: tile saw not cutting straight

Sometimes a blade that is set deep enough will walk in this manner, especially if it is a thin kerf blade like the MK Hotdog blade.

Also, a blade which has worn unevenly will do this too.

SOURCE: I have a 10" ridgid

With bigger tiles I have to cut more than half way, and then turn tile around and cut last bit from other direction.

You might be able to cut half way down tile, and then move tile forward on tray.

My wheels come to a stopper and don't run off the track, so my saw is different than yours.

How to cut glass and metal tiles?

You will have better luck with a hand glass scorer, looks like a pen with a score wheel at the bottom and the tube is filled with oil (like a sewing machine oil). If you want to cut each tile individually, then snap the tile by holding each side with a pair of snubby pliers wrapped in tape (slippery otherwise) You can get a glas scoring pen at craft stores with stained glass supplies or a stained glass supply shop or online. The wet saw is used to cut a row of the tiles at once, which is most efficient. The sliding tile scorer would be too cumbersom to hold the small tile in place and try to cut.

Auto retract slice cutter slider that moves blade out will not latch. I have to hold it in place with my thumb and so can't make any cuts. Am I missing something?

If I am reading this correctly, your answer may be that the cutter is designed that way for safety. "Auto-retracting". You find it in some utility knives that often store employees are required to carry so they won't "hurt themselves". Annoying, really. Try buying another cutter that is not an "auto retract"-- or get used to using your thumb for the purpose of holding the slide so the blade stays exposed.

What is a wet saw? is it easier to use than a tile cutter?

Wet saws make cutting thick or strong tiles easier, they also make it easier to make multiple cuts on a tile. It takes longer to use the wet stone so if you don't really have to use it then cutting with a tile cutter will go much faster.

You don't really need too many tools to cut tiles, mainly just a tile cutter, tile nipper, sharpening stone and pencil.

Is not cutting and cutter is on, also, it is printing double lines

Fault: Double line & paper is not cutting.
>Check encoder strip, any damage or dirty?
>Clean encoder strip, replace it..
Reason why its not cutting?: Carriage moves to left side to lock & bring the cutter to cut the paper, but if its not reaching proper calculated destination due to dirty or damaged encoder, it wont lock the cutter to bring it out result paper wont cut even cutter in on condition..

While using the rz10 tile cutting wheel the saw has no tourque any kind of resistence the wheel stops

The only tile that they are any decent at cutting would be ceramic, slate, or terracotta. Anything else is way too hard and even cutting the listed tile it's no joy to do. I would suggest using a 4 or 4 1/2" grinder with a diamond blade coupled with a wetsaw. hope this helps and good luck.

My simplicity serger SW432 wont cut

There are 2 blades, a fixed cutter and a moving cutter. The moving cutter should move approx 1/8" at it's lowest point past the fixed cutter. There should also be some pressure between the cutters
