When booting to windows 8. The laptop is now stuck in a loop with error message. unable to read message as it goes off the screen to fast

check the BIOS setup screen, when you get the ACER screen press F2 or F10 or the DEL or END or ESC key one of those will get you into the bIOS SETUP. Once there revise the boot order, make sure the CD is first to boot then HDD. Also review to see if the BIOS recosgnized the HDD. the symptom you are describing may be a bad HDD.

Insert a windows boot disc. Go into the bios select it to boot from CD-ROM first. Then you can go from there. If you get it to boot to windows disc, then you could start reinstalling windows. If you have the option of going to a command prompt (on the choose how to start "text" screen), do it, and type at the C:> fdisk /mbr then press the ENTER key. This may fix things. Also, try removing the battery when the computer is off, wait about a minute, then replace it and start computer. This actually helps sometimes.

Disk is dead. You need to replace disk and reinstalla Operating System.
Yes! it does sound like the hard drive is bad, remove hardware to see if you can enter bios and boot device, if yes the hard drive needs to be replaced, if no change there is a secondary problem.
