I just new printer. But when i want to print using colour, the outcome is just red and blue colour, even the actual colour in the input is green,it will be come out in red colour. How i'm gone to fixed it??

If it is a brand new printer and you are using the host cartridges that came with the printer, then you may face this issue.

You need to try with another set of cartridge.
HP 60 Black Ink Cartridge : part no. CC640WN#140
HP 60 Tricolor Ink Cartridge : part no. CC643WN#140

You may place an order directly from HP ( 1-888-897-8561 OR

After you recv the cartridges, clean inside the printer with a lint free cloth or coffee filter, remove all tapes from the new cartridges.

Install the cartridges and this should resolve your problem.
However if this does not solve the problem, call 1 800 474 6836 for troubleshooting and/or replacement.

Photo 1290 Changing ink cartridge

Hi there,

You may have to reset your printer, for when the green an red are flashing. Please do the following in order to reset the printer;
1-switch off printer itself
2-switch off at socket for 20 seconds
3-hold down both black buttons on front
switch on at mains
4-switch on printer itself
green and red flash together
5-now switch off at mains and leave for 3 seconds
6-while holding down both front buttons again, switch on at mains
both green and red flash together so release
7-quickly hold down the left botton, the one with the scroll icon above it.

Hold this until it resets itself, - the print head will re
charge and it will be obvious.

Restting by unpluggin rather than turning off at mains tends not to work.

This must help you as it worked for me.

Red and green lights are flashing alternatively and colour ink cartridge has run out. How do i change the cartridge?

Flashing alternately mean waste pad full. Reset using SSC utility or Adjusment program/resetter. But, you must replace cartridge before. Turn off printer, unlock carriage lock (left side of carriage at parking position). Move carriage by hand to replacement position. Replace ink tank. Reset using the resetter.

The printer will not work. The green bottom

The Print Cartridge Status light flashes when one or both of the print cartridges is improperly installed or malfunctioning.

1. Open the printer's top cover.
2. Remove and re insert both the black and colour print cartridges and try printing again.

If the problem persists then you need to replace either the black or the colour print cartridge.

HP DeskJet 850c will not print colour

It could well be the printer head (the area where the cartridge locks into the printer) has gummed up contacts. Take a soft, lint-free cloth and wipe down gently wipe down the face of the contacts. Keep wiping until all residue is removed. Reinstall a color cartridge and then run the printer's software alignment utility (this is part of the software that comes with the printer).

Epson C46, changed coloured ink, won't print flashing red light

If the red light is flashing by itself, it means the printer thinks a cartridge is low on ink. Have a look at what the Status Monitor thinks (right click the printer Icon in the bottom Right-Hand corner and select Ink Monitor). This will show which cartridge it is. If it's the new colour cartridge, it means the cartridge is faulty (then replace it), or it is a refilled cartridge that hasn't had it's chip reset to "full". For this you will need a chip resetter, available on E-Bay very cheaply. If it's the black cartridge then replace it.

If both green and red lights are flashing, it usually means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink "protection" counter has exceeded its limit. You can restore your printer to a working condition immediately by using the SSC utility - download from:

Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type (C4x), then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose Protection Counter. You should see that the current count is above the limit; then choose reset to set it to zero. You will need to fib about having changed the waste ink pads! Turn the printer off then back on again. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer.

If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back and I will provide further help. It is a pretty simple job once someone explains how to get the case apart!

I am having problems with my deskjet 930C printer. I have just inserted a new black ink cartridge 45A. The light keeps flashing, with the arrow over the colour cartridge smiley. When I replace the new...

Your printer might be having hardware problems. You can try removing and reinserting the printer cable. It might be loose due to the constant movement it does during printing. Also, inspect your cartridge. It is possible you have not removed the plastic covering the nozzle.

Epson cx44ux

I am on day 5 waiting for this crack professional tech support team from Epson to spring into action. I am having the same problems. First, they tried to say I was using Linux and they don't support Linux. OK, Fine...I hooked it up to an XP machine and it is still alternately flashing red and green lights. I keep the maintenance button pushed all day and it doesn't bring the cartridges into line so I can change them. This all started after changing cartridges and printing a test page. Test page was beautiful but that's when the lights started blinking and I haven't had a printer for days.

I do have the solution though, but I doubt Epson will allow it to be posted. I went to best buy and purchased 6 hp all-in-one's for our offices. We have always used Epsons but when they ignore their customers like this, I cannot afford to wait out their arrogance.

I might suggest the HP printers have been supurb and my tech support questions have been answered inside an hour.
