Question about Garden

1 Answer

I have a new Chapin Xtreme 3.5 gal 19049 model sprayer. Used it successfully once , now I can't seem to close or seal it! There is only one youtube video and it just doesn't help... So apparently the threads (rings) are supposed to be above the three prong platform... but in my case, they are below... hence giving me an issue with closing !!! Counterclockwise doesn't help either! Any ideas ?

Check this diagram for proper assembly:

During pressurization you may have pushed the rings below the locking hub.

No pressur in my home and garden sprayer

You have a leak. First ensure the pressure relief valve is closed. You can try spraying soapy water on the outside while pumping it up, and look for bubbles. The one way valve might be leaking, too. Good luck.

I was spaying and pumping up the pressure, when pump went slack. I would try and pump it up , but spray would just dribbvle out and was weak in pressure

Hi and welcome to Fix Ya, I am Kelly.

One of the seals has failed in the pump. i.e cut o-ring or a leather rolled out of place.
Go to this link..
Find your model number and on the far right of the page is the repair kit for your sprayer.
This is the 6-6180 repair kit:
This is the 6-1925 repair kit:
The repair kits above are examples only... find the kit that is for your sprayer and order it.
Once you find and replace the damaged seal it will work fine.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Welcome to FixYa!

"I have a Chapin Hand sprayer #1949 3 1/2 gal. I need to know how to get the pump apart to install a Industrial repair Kit #6-4627."

Turn handle counterclockwise until 3-prong clamp is loose.
Then rotate clamp counterclockwise to stop and lift out.

Thank you for using FixYa.
Keep me posted.

My ChapinSpray N Go sprayer won't build air pressure in the tank when I pump the sprayer

Sounds like a faulty seal to me. Submerge the container in water and pump, bubbles will rise from the seal. Easy to fix, I had a look and you can pick up a seal replacement kit for this model at for under $12.00. You should also find them at any reperitable hardware store. Hope this helps :)

I need the manual for model # 1125D 2.5 gallon sprayer. I can not find it anywhere in the house or garage and I need to use it in the morning

Howdy. I was at the Chapin sprayer website and they don't list a model #1125d or similar. If you have any additional information, I'm sure we can get you a manual tonight.

No spray at all, line clean, hand valve not opening

usually have to take it apart! Try the lime away products for bathrooms to get rid of the hardened product left in the line. I don't remember any filter being on this model or any easy way to disassemble. Hot soapywater might be another choice.

How many oz is 6-2/3 oz

My reference book says 3.78 liters equals one gallon. 3 gallons would be 11.34 liters. 11.34 X 6.66=75.52 oz of concentrate. That is 4.72 pints. A dictionary will have conversion charts.
